Oven / grill?

Can someone tell me what things you can cook in the oven or grill that you can't on the stove?

Each appliance has its own cookbook. None of the items carry from one appliance to the other. Some examples are: oven- roast chicken, quiche, ham. Grill- steak, shrimp kabobs, mushrooms. My opinion is its best to have a few of each appliance, depending on your level. At least one of each, if not more. HTH!
