....it makes me realize there's no sense in continuing the game. If you can't progress, and everything that helps you in the game is taken away, what's the point? Too bad, I was enjoying Farm Story, but I'm done playing now. Back to my usual games...

I understand totally where you are coming from! I have not reached the point (or pond, mine, beehive, train) where many of these people are posting from. So, when (and if) I reach them, I will not know the"good old days".

But that is also why I posted my "Shhhhhh" post. There is hope out ther folks for adayorso of good drop rates!
