Hey guys thought we could use a main reference thread for important information that we discover and want to share!

1crazycajun (http://forums.storm8.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=34754)has set up a new spreadsheet just for the market prices. This spreadsheet is editable so members can add information, but please be careful when editing.

Farm Story 2 is still relatively new on Android, so it needs to catch up with some of the features. Here's a current list of iOS only features:

Truffle Forest/Hunting
Piper's Treehouse Game
Hot Air Balloon
Pet Storage
Otter Collection
World Events
Wishing Well/charmed Coin

The Wishing Well and Charming Coin are iOS only, unfortunately. You should not be seeing the Charming Coin on Android in any Shops. Sorry for the confusion!

cafe
sauce maker
Building Skins
Tea Leaves crop
coffee bushes

Bait
Dough bait - anchovy.
Fish bait, spicy bait - catfish, bass.
Fancy bait (golden lure baits) - tuna, salmon.

You cannot craft the Golden Lure bait. This bait can only be bought (either from someone selling it or from Stormie) or received as a prize, in an event.

If you cannot see a bait tap in the green disk in the middle of the menu to go to page two of the menu.

Can't remember how many trains I've sent off. Since I don't have herbs or enough fish for the order. :(

Pets

Most of your pet habitats have a limit of 3 and a capacity of 3 for each habitat. The Show Pony Stables has a limit of 1 and a capacity of 3. The Reindeer Post is special, so it has a limit and capacity of 1. Hope this helps! :)

If you pet is jumping up and down, that means it is hungry! Swipe your bucket over the poor animal to feed him!!! You will then see a timer for the next
collection time!

Below are the instructions showing how to sell an item in your shop. Because of the character limit for messages here, I have separated each step into a separate post. To see it all in it's entirety, you can also view the instructions here: http://imgur.com/a/hDEQR

lucky8canuck (http://forums.storm8.com/member.php?50999-lucky8canuck) - 06-07-2013, 04:52 PM

Step 1: When viewing your farm, click on your shop.

http://i.imgur.com/fQ7P3on.jpg
shop window. The green circles with the plus signs indicate empty slots available to sell items.

Click on one of these green circles to add an item.

http://i.imgur.com/prJatA6.jpg

Step 3: Now you will be able to select an item from storage.

Click on the Barn Tab to sell an item crafted or collected item from your barn...

http://i.imgur.com/l2sw6G0.jpg

...or click on the Silo Tab to sell a crop that you have grown and harvested.

http://i.imgur.com/vsNWhYB.jpg

Step 4: Once you have chosen the Barn or Silo Tab, click on the item you want to sell.

For this demo, I have decided to sell cocoa. It now appears on the left.

http://i.imgur.com/cLhiNkM.jpg

Step 5: From this section on the left, you can now select the quantity you want to sell and the price at which you wish to sell them.
Use the - and + buttons to adjust the number.

When setting the price, you can also use the "Max" button to set the maximum price the game allows for that particular item. Be careful,
though. Sometimes the maximum price may be considered to expensive to potential shoppers.

PLEASE NOTE: Since items cannot be removed from your shop unless someone else buys them, make sure to price
your item at a price that the market will bear. In other words, it should be a price that people would be willing to pay for that item.
Otherwise, the item(s) could sit in your shop for a long time unsold.

Once you are happy with the quantity and price, click the "Sell" button to make the sale of the item official.

http://i.imgur.com/OTSSUOS.jpg

Step 6: The item will now appear in the slot in your shop ready for another player to purchase.

You may continue to fill the other slots, repeating the steps above, or click the "x" at the top right to close
the shop and return to your farm.

http://i.imgur.com/sYTLnzN.jpg

Step 7: Congratulations! You've made a sale! To collect your sales revenue, click on your shop on your farm.

The items that have been purchased will have a button that says "Collect". Click it to add the money to your coin bank.

Once you are done, you can sell more items again, or exit the shop. Happy selling!

You will need to expand to the herb garden, (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?59175-Where-is-the-herb-garden&p=747402&viewfull=1#post747402) then you will be able to grow herbs.

I would like to know which spot we need to do first to expand to the pond? I'm hoping its that one closest to it and that you don't have to go further than that??

I'm struggling like always just to collect the land deeds. I always seem to get ther other two, maps and the expansion permits. I really wish there was only one of these tree to collect like in dragon story because I can't move forward with the game without expanding and I can't afford the next shop which is pizza because I keep spending money buying things to get orders and to get the land deeds which never come. Whoa sorry about this going from an expansion question to that lol.

This is great, thanks for the work 1crazycajun. Now I need to work out some formulas to see what's the most efficient product to make and sell repeatedly. So far, I've assumed it's going to be flour...quick to make, only needs wheat which can quickly be grown in large quantities, and flour sells very quickly at its max price in sets of 2. However, I'd like to see if I can prove that using your data. What a waste of time, but still fun!

The little butterflies will give coins, XPs and some tools and gems.

For the butterfly collection, you will see the big butterflies that match the colors in your Collections Gallery.
(You may not get the collection butterflies every time you see the little butterflies. )

It would depend on what level you're at, I think...the higher the level, the more things that become available to you. If you are at a high level and these same items are still not available, I would suggest contacting support for assistance.

Are you looking through your items in the barn, or the silo? Crops are stored in the silo, so you have to switch the tab to sell from there (it automatically opens your barn). There's a tab on the right side :)

I'm am still hunting for bugs in my spreadsheet, but from what I can tell the biscuit is the most profitable item in terms of coins/hr when sold at max price while accounting for opportunity cost (ingredients each sold at max cost).

Assuming each biscuit costs 10.5 coins (3 wheat each valued at 3.5 coins) and sell for 24 coins every 4 minutes - this adds up to 4860 coins per hour. Flour comes in 2nd at 3312 coins/hr and followed by corn and wheat, each at 2520 coins/hr. Now, keep in mind that your store will not be able to move the goods as quickly as you can produce them, and to get this return you need to play very actively - harvesting wheat and collecting items as they are produced.

The least profitable item it white pizza, at a loss of 768 coins/hr, followed by pepperoni pizza at a loss of 544 coins/hr. Keep in mind here that this "loss" is merely an opportunity cost - that the spinach, wheat, tomato, and cheese are more profitable to sell on their own. Cow/Pig/Sheep feed all have negative ROI, chicken feed is break even, and pet feed is a positive 240 coins/hr.

My data does not yet account for jelly or candy and I am still missing some figures for gold and lemons. Also, I am still working out a fair way to assign a "cost" to items mined.

Thank you for all this effort. Despite good intentions, I haven't played around with my own calculations as I wanted. It's good to see the hunch I mentioned earlier regarding flour can be proven. I hadn't considered biscuits yet, mainly because I've adopted the strategy of making as much stew (also in the kitchen) as I possibly can and selling it all as a promoted item.

The caveat that can't be measured effectively is how quickly things sell at their max price, which of course is only as important as the duration of time which each spend playing the game at any given time. This is obviously going to be totally subjective.

Greetings all...

I'm at level 50, almost level 51, and I have expanded as far as I can and am getting a pop-up that says "Your farm is as big as it can be for now" when I click on the expansion arrows...

When will the next set of two or four spots open up so I can use all the maps, permits, and deeds I've been saving up???

Good evening everyone,

Ok, I'm now at level 56 and STILL have yet to have any indication of when I can expand next - when clicking on the expansion arrows near the airfield, I still get the pop-up that says "Your farm is as big as it can be fore now". What gives? I'm a higher level than many of the other players that have expanded to areas that I cannot? I have plenty of the maps, permits, and deeds (60+ of each).

Can someone please tell me what level I need to be at in order to expand again? I know it's possible since I've seen so many others have expanded further than me (most of whom are lower levels than I am, so I don't understand how this can be???)

Thank you for your replies...

That's strange, you should be able to expand to the balloon and I think the wishing well. You could try posting this as a new thread in bugs/issues so someone can check your game.

Are there no other expansion arrows on your farm other than the one near the airfield.

AstronomyDan might be an Android user and unable to expand to the spots only available to IOS users. That would be my best guess. I would also post in the bugs/glitches forums if it's land other than the truffle forest and the balloon.

Yes, that's a good point and probably what the issue is. Thanks

Have you clicked on the hot air balloon itself? That's the only plot available to me in that section of farm. You can go toward the truffle forest too.

You're correct, I'm an Android user... I can't get to the Truffle Forest or the Hot Air Balloon, and the Tree House does nothing.

Kooky, peanuts open up as a crop at level 37, as they just opened up for me. I'm not sure WHY they open up now, since I can't find anything I can use them for YET. The Jelly Maker doesn't give Peanut Butter as an option at level 37 (not sure when it does). The only machines that are available to me that I don't have yet are: Forge (doubtful it uses peanuts. lol) and Sauce Maker (not sure if it would use the peanuts at level 37 since the Jelly Maker doesn't).

Does anyone know when I can start using peanuts, as for now I've just been keeping the stock around 20 and selling whatever else I grow to gain some cash. I depleted it all by buying the Jelly Maker.

You can't craft the golden lure bait.

It's a fairly new special bait that was introduced a few events ago. You can use it to catch several fish in one go. Keep a look out for it in the community newspaper and from Stormy.

I wasn't sure where else to post this but I am so mad. I was on this game checking what deliveries I could send out when I dropped my phone. I caught it mid air and noticed a plane was flying off. I hit the 'send now for __ gems' button and I spent 82 gems on a delivery I didn't even want to do!!! I've been saving my gems for such a long time and I accidentally spent a big chunk of them! Is there anyway to get them back? This is literally the one thing I hate about this gem that I've accidentally spent so many gems.

I am sorry this has happened. For loss of gems, please send an email to support@storm8.com so an agent can check your game.

Thank you, kooky panda, I will make sure to do that. Luckily it is pretty easy to get gems in this game, I just wish they made it so that it wasn't so easy to accidentally spend them.

I won an anchovy bait, but it's not showing up when I try to fish. I'm at level 13. Please advise. Thanks.

Sorry about that. Can you force shut your game, restart and see if its there in your barn? Thanks.

It's in my barn, but it doesn't show up when I try to fish. I can only fish with the dough bait.

Thank you for confirming that it's in your barn. I just checked on the level requirement for anchovy bait and I'm afraid you wont be able to use it until you reach level 20. :( You can keep it or sell it in your shop.

CraftMaterialDurationLevel
Dough bait 2 wheat + 2 corn 1 hr 30 min 10
Anchovy bait 1 anchovy 1 hr 45 min 20
