Amount of Gold received per day reduced to 3?

My son just tried to send me gold from his game on his Kindle Fire but got the message that he was "unable to send gold to this player because they have reached their limit for the day." I've received 3 gold bars from other gold buddies but nothing else...has the limit received per day been reduced from 20/day to 3/day? Can anyone else confirm this?

How many maps did you get today? If it was 17 then you can only receive 3 gold for a total of 20 items received per day.

No... The maps and gold have separate counters. You get a max of 20 maps a day plus the gold

I have never experienced this. On the day I ask for maps I may only get 1-3 gold but 2-3 days later I get 5+ gold. I am not able to log on often enough to actually count the maps and verify my theory, but I am sure I read it somewhere on the forums.

Maybe your son had checked another name with yours, by mistake...

I'm pretty sure you get that same message when you have sent 3 gold for the day, which is the max allowed to send. Possibly he had sent to 3 people already then tried to send to you and got that message.
