Have 2 Cactuses (Cacti! sorry pet peeve) 12000 coins each

I've been playing Restaurant Story for quite a long time and I really enjoy it. But I honestly have to say that I just hate those stoves, those of which I HAVE to "ask" neighbors for parts in order to build. The reason being that some times it can take me days, if not weeks, to acquire all the parts. And by the time I do get all the parts, I have no time left to complete the "prepare or serve" portion of the goals. It gets a little frustrating.

That's why I like my nbrs to gift me parts instead of food. I always have a good supply of parts on hand for goals then.

Yep, sounds like you need to cull your neighbor list. Especially with an appliance of only 10 parts. I've already got 6 of them and enough parts to build 2 more if I want to. I have great neighbors though. If I'm gifted food their usually gone immediately when I go through my list. TL was easy on us this time around with so few parts, a lot of the appliances are at least 20 parts and often times more than that.

I agree! Recent goals and ovens need basic parts making these easy for us. Thanks TL! I managed to build 10 just using stock parts my neighbours send me. But now i'm running low on screws but i can't request because i still have about 20. Cleaning up your neighbour list really helps. I just keep the ones who are active but for sentimental reasons, i still keep those who have been good neighbours but must have been busy so are inactive.

I have a problem. I completed the Rascal Stew both served and prepared. It tells me to prepare and serve Molasses pudding but it's showing LOCKED!

there's other (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?57935-Neighbors-Delete-Them-When) advice (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?47194-Inactive-Neighbors) on this, but my method is: visit everyone who's on any of your lists - gave you a gift, left a tip or responded to a request in your news feed, or wrote on your message board in the past couple of days (also visit stormie). whether you tip or gift them during your visit is irrelevant, just by visiting, they will have dropped to the bottom of your neighbors list in the social tab. so now everyone at the top of that list (above stormie, as you visited him too) has not contacted you recently.

some of the non-contacts you may want to keep because you know them, but otherwise, i've tried a couple different things - sometimes i go check for rotting food (and usually make a mental note of which ones have it and check again the next day - they may just have gotten caught up and missed their serve times), sometimes i tip & gift and see if that gets a response, sometimes i leave a message flat out asking if they're still playing the game. i usually don't delete without really trying to make sure they've actually gone, but that's just me.

and yeah, it's been suggested and seconded and we'd all love it. i'm not holding my breath.

If you're talking about the second stove in the goal, i think its called the old west stove, you need to collect all the poker cards from nbrs first and then it will unlock.

Or maybe the second stove was called the saloon stove. Whatever the second stove is, you need to collect the poker cars first.

Thanks for the link on how to manage your neighbors. I've done all of those suggestions, but people stop playing (or they play and just dont respond to requests or tips)....and then you're back at square one. It'd be a lot easier if it would just show the date of when they last played on that pop up when your go to their bakery/farm etc. When I weed out my neighbors I have to write their name down on paper and monitor them for a week.....which is ridiculous.

I wish there could be more details like decor/chairs/wine bottle etc, or at least only 1 face is hidden. I think it's too plain. Both the color and detail.

Major disappointment... a huge section of my place IS a bar, but this thing just looks silly. It should have had a clear base, to match any floor you set it on. :(
