Not all dragons have a hidden color. A hidden color is one that you can use to breed that dragon. For example, peacock is pure purple, but you can breed it by combining purple/yellow (in addition to purple/purple and purple/diamond). Another example is kitsune, which is pure pink. You breed it with pink/red though, not red/white like you were breeding virtue. You could also use pink/pink or pink/diamond.

Once you breed the dragon, the hidden color has no effect on future breeding with the dragon. Ex- Peacock only contributes purple. I don't know about the battle arena. I would guess that the hidden color wouldn't have an effect there either, but I might be wrong. I will compile a list of hidden colors.. I don't think there is one. It is a more recent thing by TL though, so the aren't many.

Neutral colors for battle arena are colors that are not strong or weak against the other dragon.

For instance if the other dragon you are fighting is mask, pink and black. Strong colors to use against pink are black and gemstones, weak colors are yellow, purple, mythic. Strong colors against black are green white cosmic and rainbow, weak colors are yellow, pink, fairy tale, gemstone. The colors not listed at all are the neutral colors, which would be: red and blue.

The way you use neutral colors is if you don't have 2 strong colors, you can use one strong color plus one neutral. So if you don't have a double strong black-green hybrid to use against mask, you could use strong black plus neutral red or blue. Or strong green plus neutral red or blue. But if at all possible, you use 2 strong colors - neutrals give you no advantage, they just aren't weak.

There is a list in the battle threads for what colors are strong and weak against every color, neutrals are all colors not listed as either strong or weak, there's no list it's just everything else.

I got it with Cosmic/Cosmic too and I had Moon lol I like seeing 14 hours and know it's definitely Eclipse... And not Mist! I got Saturn with same combo too.

Yes but the purple and green isn't hidden, is it? Hidden is when you can't see the colour, not when you CAN see the colour.
You do know what hidden means right? I don't know, maybe your game only shows Medusa as Mythic type but in my market it is Mythic, Purple and Green...

If I breed, say, a genie (purple & yellow) with Leo (zodiac = breaks down into black and yellow? And does the black break down again?), do I have a chance to get a Royal also? Or is it irrelevant that I breed a purple + yellow hybrid, because there is always a chance of Zodiac element breaking down into black and yellow?

I just bred genie and Leo and got 14 hours so I'm guessing a mist, but i'm wondering if it's a good idea to use this same breeding combo again. 'Cause I want new dragons.

Purple is the only color made from two others that does NOT break down when you breed with it. Purple always stays purple.

To make it harder for us to breed. :p With these elements, usually there is only one combo with each other color (e.g. black/white, pink/red, etc.) so if the elements didn't split, you'd get that particular dragon every single time you put those two colors together.

Okay, wow this hidden color thing is super confusing... When did this come out. Reading this is the first I've heard of it. What about people that don't use the forum how would they know about this?!
