Recipe mastering question

I'm currently level 56. When there aren't goals to be completed, I spend my game time mastering recipes. But, I've seemed to have hit a dead end. My bar won't finish the level 4 masteries. Am I not a high enough level for that? Or is 4 as far as it goes?

I would also like to add that I never got a pop up like with the other mastery levels.

Once it reaches the end of the bar with the number 4 at the end, you have successfully mastered the dish, congratulations! There are no mastery levels beyond 4.

In restaurant story, mastery is achieved by both preparing and serving the dish you are cooking, so the pop-up occasionally does not appear if you reached the next level through preparation, although your coins and/or gem + experience should always be added. This takes careful attention by the player, sometimes resulting in "mystery gems appearing for no apparent reason;" you can always close the game and re-open to ensure your rewards appear.
