Experience Points?

Can someone tell me what is the point of having experience points if they do nothing for you after level 40?
What's the point!

I'm higher than level 40 (level 150) but I'm on iOS, that could be the difference?

Although I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that I've seen android neighbours on a higher level than 40

Android players can level up to Lv150!

No advantage that I can tell once you have max habitats. Unless you want bragging right among your neighbors as to who has the highest level.
