Ivy is walking around for some time but I can't finish her house. What am I doing wrong?

Check your Goals, i recently built mine in my 3rd kingdom. Be prepared to part ways with lots of Glimmerdust. It needs 40 plus another 32 used to make 8 super glues.

How do you get glimmer dust?
Mushrooms are a good place. The red mushroom ring sometimes drops double glimmer dust.
The glimmer dust trove is also a reliable source.

Otherwise, it drops randomly from Sir Piggy, Feed the Baron, and adventures. And also chopping logs and stuff, but I don't remember which particular items give glimmer dust.

Ferns, old logs, dead trees, tall grass randomly drop it as well.
