From your notes to their eyes and finally our ovens! I checked the oven today by habit and was disappointed we didn't have anything. Boo!

Well, I opened three boxes and got some 3rd and 4th place items. Double boo! Though, they aren't super hideous. Like something the size of a pea.

I think TL somehow conflated the Boardwalk with the Hamptons these last couple of updates. I could see a debutante ball and all that garden patio backyard stuff in the Hamptons but not the Boardwalk.

I agree! Their outfits could have been more ball like too.

In keeping with the "jersey shore" theme we could all pretend that they are going to Karma for the night.

Awesome! Wish it wasn't so ridic tiny! I opened two. Got 2nd prize (Strong Man) and 4th (Beach Clown). He's creepy, I'm saving him for Halloween lol. No pix but I know someone will win every prize soon (1st should be the preview pic.)

How big is your strong man?! A clown? Yikes! That's one beach I'd stay away from, they're horrible.

It is 3x3. Five people are in the "scene". One is taking the photograph. One is the Strong Man with mustache carrying a girl (they're the people from Garden Pavillion) and two other kids are peeking out behind them.

The clown is holding balloons.

Unless its super small or hideous item it may not be worth selling. I know I sold my 14 plus bird houses from the picnic box. But the skee ball isn't overly hideous. Another theme may come later where it will all make sense.

I saw the beach rental. It's huge and an obvious second prize. Nothing fantastic about it though. The strongman is very cute. Haven't seen the first place yet.

A pic is there. It's the skee ball machine that was said to look like a threadmill. Personally I'm offended by the jokes. Have you people no idea how much happy so many, like me, would be if we could stuff our faces while walking or riding a bike? The nerve!

Nvm that, just went through the whole thread again and found some picture at post #48, they should really add that to the first post or something. The "treadmill" looks like one of those ball toss machines you see at arcades, the orange color makes it look not much as a treadmill machine, oh well. Now I'm waiting for the black friday sale, I want to buy one for my boutique on FS and btw is it just me or are box prizes becoming less and less desirable? I don't see anything that's worth the gamble.

to each her own, i guess. i've bought only 2 boxes on purpose in bakery (and one by accident) as i'm not really enamored of any - i have to really like at least half the prizes and most of the 4th place ones before i'll even consider it - but so far this one is on my maybe list, just want to see what all the possible prizes are first. the clowns someone mentioned might put it in the "no" column though.

and in skeeball (not skiball!) you roll a baseball-sized ball down a platform with an incline at the end. the ball goes up the ramp and lands in a ring attached to the backboard. there are several rings, and the smaller ones (harder targets to hit) are worth more points. it's a classic arcade/carnival kind of game. i mostly wish that when they had games like that the little people would interact with them. it's no fun when they just sit there and no one ever plays. :-(

The beach rental is the shack with the surf boards in them. How does it fit in with this box ive no idea. The items aren't consistent with any one theme. A neighbor has it and its HUGE. But very one dimensional. Some one standing next to it or having a little person selling them would have made it more desirable.

I loved playing skee ball as a kid. We don't hey carnivals anymore but I'd turn into a preteen again If I came across one! The clown looks like a maniac. You know he's hiding something sinister beneath the makeup. Like putting salt on top of the sugar cookies.

This is the thread for the update on 8-28-13 as stated in the headline. There was no new teaser for this week's content release, but there will be a regularly scheduled update. It's Labor Day weekend here in the states :) but back to the grind today!
