Can I get more than 53 habitats on the main island?

Hi all,

I haven't been able to find this answer in the forums - if I missed it, could you point me in the right direction, please? Thanks!

I'm at level 96 and have 53 habitats, some other structures, and more than 20 expansions left to go. The thing is, even though I keep expanding, I'm maxed out on habitats, so I can't make use of the extra space I'm buying.

Someone told me that 53 habitats is all you're allowed in the game. Is that true?! If so, why would I keep expanding? Why would I even keep playing?

Currently, the limit is 53. There seems to be updates to this number often, and its posted on this thread (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?38123-More-Habitats-Update-NOW-53!)
