Asking for gifts

Each day I get requests for gifts which I try to honor but now I need items and I don't know how to make the requests like others do. Could someone tell me. Or better yet send me glass tubing and rubber turf

When you are building something, click on the item and you will see a button to request parts from friends. Click that and your neighbor's list will come up and you can request parts from your neighbors.
