Need friend in Pet Shop

Am new to forum and have some dumb questions like how do I request gifts and why can't I always send gift requests?

You can only send material requests (permits/parts for constructing thing etc) to each person once a day. You will only get a max of 20 of the answered in a day so don't send more than 20.

You can write on your wall or your neighbours walls and ask for specific gifts.

That may be how it is done in Castle Story but in Pet Shop everyday I get requests for items that people need me to send them. They come with the gifts being sent. I don't know how they make the request. I can only see how to send a gift but I know there is a way to ask for items. I need items to construct a playpen. I have some in storage but not all.

Click on an unconstructed item in your store. The parts needed will pop up. Click on the ask button and select the neighbours you want to send the request to. Once you've got the hang of it this functionality is used in most TL games.
