Can you close the cafe down?

Is there a way to close your cafe for any period of time besides when you are designing?? Would really like to build up my food inventory prior to customers coming in cafe!! I know you can stop customers when you are designing your place, but is the food cooking during that time?? Help please. Thanks

Yes, you can close. While you're in design mode, move an object in front of the door. This prevents customers from entering.
