I can't instantly cook anything?

I finally have 3 gems and when I click and manage something Im making and hit "instantly cook" it clears but doesnt cook it and I still have the gems. Its very annoying. Im about to level, at level 10 currently... Why is this happening?

Be happy that somehow it is not working. Why do you want to instantly cook something? Gems are very expensive. I think most people would agree that using them to instantly cook food is not the best use of your gems.

It comes down to strategy and patience. Cook shorter cooking time food during the day...french toast, omelettes, things of that nature. You can also close your restaurant while you cook by blocking the door with a chair. At night put on your longer cooking items. Also close the place overnight so customers won't come in and eat up all your food for the next day. I'm level 45...give this a try first.
