Good news is you only missed out on a dragon that produces hay to make flames to warm other dragons when 3 level 1 aboms fill up a hab in an hour anyways. Now you cant collect 80 worthless hay every 5 min. For what it does it should be an auto breed.

I got the ice crown yesterday, and finally hatched today, just read through the thread and noticed it was a glitch, can anyone comment on this, why was it removed.
took a full day to hatch it, as i can only have a max of 25 fire and 250 silo.

it makes a lot of flammable fur (at lvl 6, it makes 2496 flammable furs /hr ) but the Abominable Aura has max of 80.

This is a strategy from TL to reduce our stock on gold/coins/resources... Its a way of causing the need to buy items... the arctic isles food prices are insane compared to that of the regular island.. and people were complaining about spending 75,000 coins on food then. Try 380,000 coins over on the arctic isles

i haven't bothered to upgrade my farm, lol. so for now i am simply planting the frozen oranges or whatever xD don't even know if i'll buy another farm or not. So far I have them at level 7 - snowflake, blizzard, alpine, fossil, meteor (ugh), ice age, cave, sasquatch, yeti. (abominable is evolving to 7 right now). So the tough parts begins now.

I'm okay with growing food with 75,000 coins on the main land, I play everyday and active, so my coins don't go down so fast because I collect the coins very often. But since the artic, I grew the 380,000 twice a day, I'm like draining my bank, lol. I just grow the 100,000coins now, I bought 4 large farm, cos I don't think I'll be needing the other 2.

I feel bad for players who just start it recently with all the costs, I know the feeling too, cos I have other account which doesn't have lots of coins not even enough to buy the habitat, lol. I mean, this second account has been struggling on the main land:(

After umpteen number of Blizzards, I finally got Polar this evening.
When I got 260 flames, I tried the same combination immediately since I may have gotten an Alpine. Both of them turned out to be Polars! Back to back Polars after 100 Blizzards!!
Is something going on with the game this evening? Just like the Icecrown incident last week?

Try force closing your game and then restarting the app/device. If it's still there when you re-open the app, email support@teamlava.com and they should be able to help you out.

I don't think there is someone who CAN'T breed Firestorm. It is VERY easy dragon and most of players have already get tired of it. It appears as a fail with a crazy frequency

Once you get the ice age dragon is easy
To get the ice age you know you have to breed winter and magic...
To breed the abominable dragon you need to breed ice age and fuzzy dragon...
Once you have the abominable dragon you can get the other dragons....
Abominable and ice age can breed meteor, blizzard, yeti, Sasquatch, another ice age or abominable
If you breed ice age and blizzard you'll get the snowflake for sure

Lol. WHY is ANYONE unable to breed firestorm? It's one of the game's Common Plagues. I think you're confusing firestorm with something else, like forestfire.

If you insist on not using firestorm (which as everyone said, is incredibly easy to get, just breed fire and air), then breed 2 ice age dragons together and you might get meteor that way.

Almost all dragons can be breed using a variety of combo's. Firestorm and Ice age is just one of the combos..the one that TL suggests we use. It doesn't mean we have too. Just like we can get alpine without using diamond.

I spent 6 mil on that hopeless Artic and gave up. It is a dead place and I have stopped spending money there. After breeding I normally sell the dragon off as I keep getting the same thing.

i also stopped playing the arctic since is a pain to craft 25 flames at a time to hatch an egg. now the icecrown dragon has become so hard to accomplish.

For me it is easy to craft 50 flames. I upgraded once with coins to 50 flames. takes about half an hour I think. I use a mix of Flamable Fur and Ancient Oil. My silo is 500.
Still it is a bit boring.

Yes I tried a new account for a short while on a "borrowed" iphone. But I did get some rare dragons easily including a Diamond Breed too, also I got lots of "gold" by playing other TL games. Still all the dragons were dwarfs !

I think they should change everyone's breeding times and upgrade costs monthly (or some regular interval), so that players who are stuck with the bad end of the deals aren't permanently frustrated. It will give people a choice... Get instant gratification and upgrade now or wait until the next month and hope that the cost is cheaper. It would particularly be nice for breeding, especially for those people who have 12 hours, to know that it isn't permanent and that next month you might wind up with 4. It would probably even get people frustrated with the expansion to play it more, because people would want to take advantage of the time periods when breeding times and costs are low for them. It would give players another reason to not give up on the expansion just because they have the bad end of the deal right at this moment.

I finally got my snowflake! Finally! Now all i need is polar. I do think it sucks how our prices are different and the main island, with all its high costs is then expected to be able to support another island. They either have to lower the costs or give us more ways to make money.

I see Super lower level players talking about how they are going broke. I am telling them to stop trying to fulfill things on both isles. My advice to them is to just breed and make flames on the ice isles. Then focus on breeding dragons on the main one.

On my main island, Thats exactly what I'm doing. I don't even care about releasing glacius anymore. When I get most of my smaller dragons to level 7 ill worry about getting the ice ones to epic.

Not everyone has a huge array of dragons. I've seen a player yesterday at level 122 and girlfriend has an island full of scorpions, no diamonds and a bounty full of commons. If you speed breed or sell from the nest enough you can level up, even withour having grander dragons.

This has been happening to me since we started on the isles. My habitats AND farms are always sparkling. Next time ill take a pic. When this happens, I try to see if I can click something to visit a neighbor, but its a no go. Maybe Stormie is stalking everyone's islands.

i also don't understand that you have dragons that are capable of producing way more products then the habitats can hold. What's the point of this? Our storage buildings hold such a low number of flames and whatnot that a lot of what our habitats produce Is wasted. I will fill my storage and then use some of it for a flame, say thirty straw. Now I have room for 30 more products in storage. I clock on straw and if I have 50 in the habitat, only 30 can fit in storage. Where does the other 20 go? It goes nowhere, just lost to us. This doesn't seem fair. We get so little from these islands, we shouldn't be losing anything.

I would like to have three produce the three products we need and three earn coins to help support this frozen tundra.

I get rid of duplicates when I have a dragon that I do not have. I have 4 Parakeets, 4 Aethers, 3 Kitsunes, 5 Eagles etc some are kept more Battles.

Oh my gosh, that is exactly what i call my ice island....The welfare state! They drain my resources and contribute nothing. Mainland dragons are tired of doing all of the work....

I've been trying blizzard & snowflake for ages and all I get are more blizzards!

When I got fed up and swapped to breeding abominable with abominable, I got a sabretooth (YAY!), so I figured I'd go back and try for polar, but still with the same blizzard results.
I switched back and tried a sabretooth with an abominable (as those are the only 2 of that type I have) and got another sabretooth (YAY again!).
Swapping back to blizzard and snowflake has resulted in yet another blizzard!!!!

Sorry for all the waffle, basically, if I keep tying with blizzard & snowflake is it possible for me to get a polar or alpine?

Adding on to my last post. I started the arctic expansion 2 days after it's release (finished the tournament first).
I've got an 8 hr breed time and have been breeding constantly since then, the only dragons I've got are:

Ice Age (obviously, LOL!)
Fossil
Meteor

Blizzard
Snowflake

Abominable
Sabretooth

I can't even get the first dragons like cave, yeti & sasquatch. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong with my breeding?

HELP!!

I just hatched my ice age dragon (only just knew about the update! - winter and mistmoth on 2nd try) and placed it in the habitat in the new world but... the nest now has a timer on top and when I tap on it, seems to show it has another egg there, I tap "hatch" and it can't display the picture of the egg but tells me sell or to buy a habitat. Because of this I already bought a second habitat it seems for nothing, but it seems to be a glitch because the nest should be empty. The HATCH screen shows 99,999 gold and 999,999 flames! What's going to happen when I finish breeding, will my nest be shown to be full??

Have tried reinstalling the game but no change. Another thing is, the goal "freezing flying machine" should be completed but is still on my island goal list.

I had the same problem when I first started, all you need to do is update ur iOS to the latest one iOS 6 then u will be able to hatch the egg n play the new ice isle, I hope this helps u freesiawoods.

For ice crown, you can breed any abominable type dragon (abominable, saber tooth, yeti, cave) with a diamond dragon or any diamond hybrid.

For snowflake, you can breed an ice age dragon with any type of blizzard dragon (snowflake, polar bear, blizzard, penguin, alpine), or by breeding two blizzard type dragons together, or breeding a blizzard type dragon with a diamond dragon. Hope this helps!

To be honest...I hate the update! The Arctic Isles section makes great joy to me once I first updated to v1.6 but everything was bad except the music!
Almost everything in the Arctic is EXPENSIVE! 1M for a Large Farm? Seriously? Then the Flames and Parts (as in Silver Coins in the Arctic Section) has a LIMIT! This makes the game WORST than ever! 100 Gold for the 3rd upgrade? Are you kidding me? Not to mention the Dragon Stable in the Main Island that it can only hold ONE dragon! Then 100 GOLD to upgrade it? This is RIDICULOUS! What's wrong? You guys BANKCRUPT? (I'm not sure how to spell Bank - crupt properly :P)

I was just giving Feedback to TeamLava because they destroyed the game with the expensiveness! LOL

Okay so, I finally bothered to breed the ice age dragon. Got the ugly airship. It tells me to click on the airship to go to the isle so I tap the word go and the pop up disappears and nothing happens. If I click on the ship, the pop up opens and we start over again. So I fixed my stuck egg issue by updating ios crashing my phone in the process, got the whole thing going and now realize it is a black hole sucking up coins and gold! The dragons don't produce any coins but take a lot to feed! Something is seriously wrong here. Gonna give up soon.

i got ice crown which is ultra rare before i got yeti or ****erwhale. interestingly enough the breed time was 8 hr 16 gold speed up when mine is 4 hr 8 gold speed up normally. once the egg was in the nest and i put sabertooth and diamond back in the breeding den it was back to normal. so if your breeding time goes up from normal you have a diamond hybrid i'm assuming.

I'm having the same issue as mamm1, I have all the same dragons except instead of cave I have bedrock. But that's all I have I can't get anything but Blizzard! It's getting immensely frustrating.

I think it's because of TL's change. Before Snowflake used to be Rare so you'd get more Blizzards & Snowflake. Now they changed Snowflake to Super Rare so Blizzard is the only common and the rest are are all Super Rare.

I just (finally) got my Penguin after about 25-30 blizzards. And that was using Alpine + Polar over and over again.

I agree it is annoying tho. If you're just breeding blizzards every morning and night for week(s) to get one of the super rares it does get frustrating :(

Just use up your Mystic Flames gradually and your flame capacity won't really matter. Also, have you upgraded your Fire Crucible?

I'm so frustrated with the artic isles that it's been I week that I went there for the last time. I just don't feel like playing there anymore. Ever since the day Icecrown was released I was only able to get cave, and that's it. No polar, no ****erwhale, no bedrock, no sabertooth, not even alpine. All I get is blizzard, ice age, meteor and sasquatch. I've tried the same combination many times, I've tried changing combinations, and nothing seems to work.
And the flame totals went up and now it takes me 120 flames to hatch blizzard. When I can only hold 25 flames at a time. So I guess that for now I'm done with it.

Yeah, i haven't been to my arctic island in like 3 days and honestly don't really miss it. I've felt so frustrated , because for weeks i haven't gotten a new dragon. I think the last one i got was cave. It really gets a person demotivated, especially when i'm one of those with a silo and crucible capacity that are close to nothing!! I'm not playing like this. Not wasting my time on something that, to me, seems completely broken. Seems almost impossible that i've not had one single new dragon in such a long time.

Finally got a cave dragon with Ice Age lv9 x Ice Age lv4, it took 56 flames.

Oh, I have. I don't remember how much I had before, but after upgrading it I got 25 flames. Now if I want 100 I have to pay with gold, and there is no way I'm doing this since I don't get new dragons there anyway. And it's a bit unfair that some people got 50 without paying any gold. I'm still upset about it :(

I already breeded Ice age. Meteor, Abominable, Blizzard, Fossil, Sasquatch, Snowflake, Cave, Bedrock, Yeti, Sabretooth, ****erwhale & Alpine, The missing dragons are Polar, Penguin and 3 diamond hybrid dragons i.e, icecrown, Icicle and Snowangel,...I can't breed them because I don't have Diamond yet, although I'm on Level 147..still looking to breed a Diamond.

Glacius dragon can't help in breeding or getting any coins or energy but it can fly all over the Island,quite pretty tho...

Believe me, I know lol I just craft the 30 mins one, to get 50 flames every 30 mins. Or the 3 hour for 100 flames. Depending how long the den has, I too don't use gold there.

Yeah Im crafting the 30min 50flame one (getting only 25 flames coz doesnt fit more) so it takes 7.5 hours to get all flames :)

Still since I missed the icecrown glitch, I am happy Ill get my first ice type diamond hybrid :) My diamond dragon took a vacation here, it is his/her about ~20th try for some type hybrid (I am regularly changing her partner in the nest to make happy her and not getting bored :) )

After two Fossil in a row when I am trying for Abominable, I decided I needed to breed Ice Age with something outside Arctic Isles. Since the goal said Ice and hair I wanted to breed Ice and Fuzzy, but Fuzzy was exhausted, so I decided to breed Ice and Love instead.

Ok here is a pic of my ice isle  I am having problems with the manual flam warmer. It won't let me manually feed it flames and it shows 99,9999 flames available and 99,999 gold? Any idea how this works?

Try restarting your device. Also check and make sure you have updated your device to the most current OS version.

Totally agree. This thing was exciting for about 10 mins... But then we realised it was only created to eat our coins. We get nothing for this! Even the goal for unlocking Glacius, all we got was 20 gold and the dragon does nothing.. I thought this dragon was going to do something, all it does is fly around!

Android isn't missing out on anything here.

I am not playing this island too much, but remember is it new and hopefully more changes will be added.

My biggest request is to be able to earn coins on this island.
I have small babies here because I do not want to use all my coins from the main island since habitants are so expensive.

Yes the food is so expensive! Maybe they want us to buy the food? Unless somebody has a lot coins, it's impossible!

This is getting boring now... I wouldn't mind if there was something we could do to the dragons we don't want. All I'm doing is selling them.... There is no room to keep dragons, we need a habitat increase!

I also suggest a trading/crafting that gives back to our main island! This place is just sucking up all our coins, if you let it by feeding dragons but I only get them to level 4 so it's not so bad for me but being able to do something with our fails will keep us interested....

Right now it's just breed, craft flames then sell! Starting to give up on this place. I only check it out once a day now.

We need something that gives back to the main game, that would make it worth playing it... After getting Glacius, which is just a decoration there is nothing to do other than breed and expand.

Although I'm still trying for icicle and snow angel I'm almost done. Has this part of the game been abandoned? is there any point in carrying on?

I still can't get the dragons from the first two goals...Snowflake and Yeti. I've got a whack of others tough, including Penguin, ****er Whale, Bedrock, and Sabertooth. But I still can't get the original ones after Fossil and Meteor. It's kind of sad.
