Explain editions to me?

What's the point of new editions of the game? When I look at my play store it says regular ds was updated 7/12 and rainbow 7/10. If I play the normal one will things be missing?

Nope Original DS is the most current version.

New editions come out occasionally requiring you to download a new version and tie up extra space on your device. It also adds to the confusion of what version to use.

Although, when a new version of any of TL's games come out, DS will give you a quest to install them and will reward you with an easy 30 gold.

New versions are basically updates but are too big so it becomes a totally new edition

Soon though, dragon story always returns to the original edition.

It's the dragon story cycle lol
