Do items gifted ever time out?

I've noticed that if I do not accept gifts within a day or so that they tend to disappear. This has happened on both RS and BS. I would just like to know if this is normal or a problem for specially for me. I generally act on the gifts daily, but occasionally miss a day and when I go back to accept gifts, I find (amazingly) that few gifted me that day. Even when I specifically remember seeing certain names the prior day. Thanks

They may get bumped off the list when you reach 20, and not be visible. Try accepting/declining current gifts (for what suits you), then force closing and opening again.

I didn't have access to my games for 3 days once. When I got on, I had the current day's (Day 3) gifts, some from the day before (Day 2), and none from the first day (Day 1). There was a post on the forum that I had maxed out on Day 2 but on Day 3 when I got on they all weren't there anymore. I guess they time out after a while and get dropped.
