Hi everyone. The whole team scrambled to address these issues tonight but to protect players we decided to turn off the tournament for the time being. We'll be back in the office tomorrow morning and we'll work on addressing the problem. In the meantime, if you experienced any trouble related to this, please email support@teamlava.com for assistance.

I've also confirmed with the team that once we get this up and running, we'll double the Leviathan Pearl rewards for the entire duration of the tournament. That should address any lost rewards many of you have experienced.

I'll jump back on in the morning and keep you updated on our progress. We're very sorry for the frustrations (and share them) and we'll do our best to get this up and running as soon as possible.

And while I'm here I'll tease the fact that next month you'll be seeing an update that's bigger and contains more content than every feature we've ever released put together. So that's very exciting.

It was 1 gold to skip the first time and 30 gold for the ultimate move. When the 2nd release came it went up higher. At least for me it was.

Small piece of advice for some just starting the battles. Try to use lower leveled dragons at first, to save your older ones for battles further along. I want to not do what I did the last time and have nothing but babies left when its near the end. I couldn't sleep! It was a huge headache, all over needing to have that dragon. Who am I kidding? This one will be the same.

I am so irritated. :( i had defeated forest with mythic, round one, and now i came back to compete again and had to re-do round one, fought forest with mythic again and won again. But the round was still one, not round two. I hope this does not happen again as it's a waste of my time!!! And lord knows i have little time as it is, lol. When did this start? I just woke up and found Klaus in my face with this one. I beat the Forest 1 with Fire 10, but then the game went into the "processing" loop for over 15 minutes. I had to force close the app. No idea whether that first battle counted or if I'll have to fight it again.

VERSION 1.5 is apparently the most recent because I just checked the App Store and the game did not have an UPDATE button; only an OPEN button.
Also, I just sped the last 14 minutes of the gate (1 gold for each 15 min) and I'm in round 2, thank goodness.

People in the repeating loop, close out the app completely and restart it. If that fails, delete then reinstall it. You don't want to keep losing time and progress in the middle of a tournament.

After you have been away from your game and come back in, it takes a few seconds for your game to wake up and catch up with the servers.
I always start collecting from my habitants first and wait for my processing screen to come up. I then know I am synced up.
You can also close out your game before coming back to battle.

I have v1.5 and my game is looping now as well. I'm in between battle rounds, but I keep getting the "Processing" message every 60 seconds or so, and anything I've done(collecting crops, collecting from habitats, etc) is reversed. Now I'm afraid to even go on with the next battle...I did force close the game and restart it, but that didn't change anything :/

Kooky, can you report the problem over, please? I just got "processed" again, right after my 2nd victory. It doesn't usually need to re-sync this frequently. I mean I rebooted only minutes before that. We'll get a response and a fix faster if they hear it from YOU, I think.

Spent 1 gold in the last 15 minutes. Fought forest again - for the THIRD TIME - and this time i had to attack it twice with mythic, bash then magic, because for some reason bash defeated forest the first two times just fine(one hit KO) but this time it didn't even deplete half the forest's energy.

In my case i KNOW it was not a sync problem, trust me. I had the game open for a while, had collected, had bred dragons, and then got the processing and up came the popups for ethereal. I played, won, waited an hour, replayed. No processing after battles,

I am so irritated. :( i had defeated forest with mythic, round one, and now i came back to compete again and had to re-do round one, fought forest with mythic again and won again. But the round was still one, not round two. I hope this does not happen again as it's a waste of my time!!! And lord knows i have little time as it is, lol. If it's anything like the yin yang tournament again i might as well forget this whole business and steer clear of the arena for six days.

With every win my game freezes, then moves slowly and refreshes itself too. But I still go to the next round. If I have to redo a battle won, I'm giving up.

Yup. Closed and restarted the app. Sped up the gate. Fought round 3. Beat the Light dragon. Got the pearl. Storage said 38. Got PROCESSING. Storage now says 37 again. Closed and restarted the app again. Storage still says 37 pearls. I'm getting tournament progress, but losing the pearls.
Some players are apparently not getting tournament progress.

I thought it was a connection problem on my end... Beat forest 3 times already, waited out the hours in between. If it was a connection problem the timer would be resetting, but it isn't. Sure enough, my arena just became useable again and I had to do round one for the THIRD time. This time instead of clicking the Victory message closed, I chose "view in storage" (for the Leviathan pearl). I don't know how many I had in storage before so I don't know if I was credited, but it did NOT say "processing" this time at least. We'll see tomorrow morning if I'm on round one again. I'm not too happy about the wasted two rounds. I'm going to need all the time I can get in the higher rounds, I know that from last time when I wasn't able to finish because it was too hard to beat them.

Yeah, that's the horrible change that came with the last update. It's the worst trying to type holding the pad sideways. It's too much. And I like chatting to neighbors, don't do that so much anymore. The food catalog also starts from the beginning.

Those aren't the best dragons for the job, babe, even though they are 8-9 levels above the opponent. Fairy is not too bad, but Water? Oh no, you don't want to use Water against Water. No color advantage. No rarity advantage.

Just won round 3 without any problem, pearl recieved too. What i did was letting the game loading by pressing menu, social, and community. I made sure the name on the list are different too. Then went to battle. After winning, i checked the storage, and once again hit the community and checked my pearl's stock again...Everythings good.

The Trade Portal had a looping problem, so I traded another Dragon to stop it irritating me as game kept resetting; or my Amethist Gem keeps disappearing and appearing.

My battles are the same as others. I'm still on round one. We can win or lose the battle but it's not registering. Since my price went up to battle with this new release, I'm not going to do this till it's fixed. Just a money losing situation, and not worth risking pearls, just in case.

Too many things going on at once in the game. We can expect to see more and more issues if they keep up this frantic pace. It's best to do one thing at a time, and do that one thing well.

Okay, back to the tournament. (iPhone died; post-midnight dinner beckoned.)
I just finished round 5. The pearls from rounds 4 and 5 were not lost. It seems the fix got through on my island sometime after round 3, so I've only lost 3 pearls.
I just hope my tournament doesn't roll back when I wake up tomorrow.
If you haven't gotten the fix, keep closing and reloading the game and be sure to email Support@TeamLava.com so that you have a ticket at least. Hopefully we will all get sorted out before reset time and can catch up tomorrow.

P.S. I don't post which warriors I've won with. If you ask me in the game what to use, I look at your collection and make suggestions based on what you have. Use the color charts. There's a somewhat outdated one at the top of the main battle arena thread; more updated ones elsewhere if you search.
Beat as many colors as possible.
Match or trump the rarity.
Use highest level you can in rounds 1-26, and ANY level in rounds 27-30.

It's not the beasts I like so much; it's the battles! What was I gonna do with all those pearls anyway? They aren't useful for anything else (so far). Besides, Leviathan is super-rare. Better to keep it in adult stage. It has a softer, almost feminine look. Epic? That's an altogether different beast. Uggh!

Like Moostermine I was on battle 30, lost 250+ gold and coins paid to do each battle. No pearls, no Ethereal dragon, no nothing .. oh except the 60 additional dragons I now need to heal, Aaarrgghh!!

Sobbing into my cereal as I type (oh yeah and not to mention the nights sleep I also lost - yup got over excited when the tournament popped up in my game cause I'm sad like that!). At least the tissues are cheaper than my unhealthy addiction to DS. Need to attend a DS addicts anonymous group pronto.

I fought 3 Battles & used gold to speed up between them, then it reset to level one, and had to fight forest again, only to have that reset as soon as I finished. I lost pearls, coins for battles, gold for speeding up, and gold for healing a Dragon that should have easily beaten its opponent(I used color chart I made up plus rareness levels, but my high level was beaten by a level one common). What a bummer.
Please give us some notice when it's turned back on, so we get enough time.
I guess we are just out the cost of battles and gold spent?

That's horrible! I'd definitely give it a shot and send an email to support. They may be able to help you come to some type of solution. Maybe.

Well, last time you said we would get a huge update we got crafting I think (or sth major like that) so Inam guessing... More places to expand. :)

Maybe there should be a feature to allow us to deactivate the dragons' animations? That woukd be very useful for android players. At least, that option could still have the dragons moving but the movements would be greatly reduced, not as frequent...

I was very very sad & cranky that I wasn't able to advance any further after defeating the little green forestling & terribly worried that I would lose out again on getting a tournament dragon. I was hoping that there would be another chance to have another go at the Yin&Yang dragon but this new dragon is very very very pretty, I was even possibly considering to buying some gold to have a higher chance at winning but I wasn't going to do such if the tournament is broken. Take your time Jake. Like a few days. Just went over Nora's list and saw I needed to get some evolutions done so I can epic some dragons in hopes of having better chance to win. So, I need a few days, so, take your time fixing this.

Smart warrior princess. We should all take advantage of the down time to prepare our gladiators. Heal. Feed. Evolve. Have your champions out of the den, temple, quest, healing spring and stable.
I've had a chance to look over our list of opponents (see NouraMoh's post #61 or nearby) and compare it to the list for the 3 preceding test groups.
Now THIS is a real tournament line-up! For the first time, the opponents are arranged in order of increasing rarity. Test 1 & 2 came close, but for some reason had 1 ultra, 3 supers and 2 commons in the middle of the rares in rounds 10-15. Test 3 saw an odd scramble of opponents that allowed you to fight ultras as low as levels 2 & 9. Rounds 20-29 featured 2 ultras, 2 supers 3 rares, and 3 commons that actually came in the last 5 rounds before Yin Yang. Too easy!
This time, it's the real deal.
Rounds 1-5: 5 commons
Rounds 6-18: 13 rares
Rounds 19-25: 7 supers
Rounds 26-29: 4 ultras
Youch! Whereas Test 1 & 2 pitched 4 supers followed by 3 ultras, we now have 7 supers then 4 ultras. You KNOW you're in a tournament when you have to face Crusader, Helios, Dark Angel and Diamond back-to-back at levels 16-20. LOL (Diamond might go easy on you.)
Check out that list and pace your fighters for what's ahead.
Watch out for rares who are fighting with super-rare rank: Cosmic, Samurai & Fireworks. Also note that what you used against gemstones BEFORE they took on an extra element may need revision.

Heya, DitsyB! Yes, it puts a bit of a shock into you after all that time and effort, doesn't it? I emailed right away too, told them I wasn't awfully worried about being short a few pearls, ( or was it marbles? I've always been missing a few of those!) but could I please have my dragon! Lol! Now I see Jakes Post though, I wonder if we shouldn't get double pearls as well, for pain and suffering?! Ok jk, I know that sounds greedy, just the dragon will be fine!

While we're waiting to get the tournament back, I wanted to ask what in the world I should plan on trying to do to defeat Crusader in the later rounds. In the last tournament, I wasn't able to beat Crusader despite trying SO mnay things, so I didn't get YinYang. My worst problem is that I don't have diamond dragons. I think Mindvolt is the most suggested non-diamond opponent, but it didn't work for me. I tried every blue-yellow I had, as well as anything anyone else ever said worked. Seeing that I'm going to face Crusader again makes me bummed I'll never win the tournament. :(
