Question about upgrading resource buildings

When you upgrade buildings like the deep mines, sparkling mines, sawmills, stables, and hatcheries... Does it increase the rate of rare drops?

Upgrading resource buildings decreases collection time. It doesn't seem to increase the rate of rare drops, but more collections does mean more chances of rare drops.

You'll want to upgrade your deep mines when you get closer to getting a dragon egg, because the quest line will require adamant that only comes from a level 3 or higher deep mine.

That's actually why I was asking! Preparing for the eventual arrival of my dragon egg ;) thanks for the info

You're welcome. And actually, the sooner you start working to upgrade your deep mines, the better. It takes awhile, especially waiting for sparsely supplied living wood to drop for the supplies you'll need.
