Hi
Most if my dragons are at level 7. I'm always getting the same ones as I have when I breed. Do they need to be epic all the time to get rare dragons?

no you don't need epic as long your dragons level 4 and up, just change the combo every 3 fail,so GL to you.

I have found much easier success if they are fully evolved. Not always but easier.

To tell you the truth, level doesn't matter. If they say things like level 7 works for them or epic is the best, is all based on their luck.

Everyone's luck is different but for me it's level 10.

Your chance of getting the rare dragons does not depend on the level of the dragon.:)

I got some rare dragons with only level 4 dragons I got diamond dragon with fuzzy and Mindvolt only level 4 and I got 3 quetzal only level 4 forest and diamond I want to get them higher level but it too much food

I think every island has its own rithm or call it "Island -DNA"..., on my main account i got lots of rares and superrares breeding lvl 6 or lvl,7 dragons, at a second account my best results came with at least one epic in the breedingcombo.....
Also a thing i have noticed that breeding same lvls dragon lvl 6 x dragon lvl 6 or dragon level 8 x dragon lvl 8 gave me good results.
I guess everyone has to figure out what your " Island-DNA" is.......

I know this sounds like a really stupid question. But when others are saying it took say 10 attempts, does that mean that they bred the same dragons for 10 times. I would love to get a diamond dragon

Yes, attempts is a breed cycle. People also say attempts as fails, so if you see "I had ten fails before I got the dragon" that means it took them 11 trys with the same combo until they got the dragon they wanted. Fails doesnt always mean common dragons either, just not the dragon you were attempting to get.
