Gifts maxed

My neighbors have been telling me that they can't gift because I am maxed but I haven't gotten any gifts for days. Also my material requests aren't getting out. What can I do?? I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn't help.

I know this may seem like a dumb question...but have you accepted all the previous gifts?

Yes all gifts have been accepted

Have you checked the news feed? That might have sounded like a silly question but I sometimes find that I don't get/see the neighbour requests/gift notification and have to accept through the news feed.
