Gift values and mastering catalog

Can someone help me with a couple questions?

1. Which gift holds the most value (profit)?

2. What are the advantages of mastering a catalog item?

1. The contrast pumps (sorry don't know the profit off the top of my head)
2. When you get the second and fourth star on each item you get a gem :)

The shoes are 200 which give you $400
The pants and shirts are 100 which gives you $200
And the bags are 50 which gives you $100

The shoes are the most profit only if you put 4-5 stacks per counter so they sell out each day. If you stack them all on a single counter they don't sell out, and sometimes ppl end up just clearing the counter to get rid of them.

Thanks for the info everyone! I didn't know about the gems. I had several outfits that were very close to 2 stars. I was able to finish some and got enough gems to bring me to 40 so I expanded.
Great tip about the 4-5 stacks per counter. I'm going to try that. Is the 4-5 guideline true for all counter items? What about clothes racks?

Oh no, never use gems to expand! Money may come slowly at first, but you will always be able to get more money, ie coins. Gems are hard to get, and there are a limited number avaliable to you. Save gems for buying special items that only gems can buy! :-)
