Expanding my Bakery

i wanted to expand my bakery & it says i need 7 friends to expand to 11x13 & 15 friends for more. i have 12 friends & now it says i need 15-20 neighbors to expand. or 1-2million. why did the amount of neighbors change? i didnt get to expand it either :/

The neighbours is the requirement you need to meet to do the expansion. When you've met the requirement you see the cost of the expansion.

The last appliance you can buy for coins is at Level 73 - 18 appliances.
If there are no arrows, you are fully expanded.

You can buy more appliance slots for gems, but what's the point? You're going to just accumulate coins and not know what to do with them. I am maxed out on free appliances, am fully expanded, and have over 31M coins and will never be able to spend them all.

ima say it again, i prolly wrote it complicated lol! so, when i first started, it said i need 7 friends inorder to expand. then i got more than 7 friends & it changed the limit to 15 friends inorder to expand. now i have 15 friends & it wont let me expand my restaurant. i only expanded my restaurant once & im lvl 23. is the expand thing broken? o_o

No, your first and second descriptions were clear, as was maguars. Nothing is broken.

You can either expand using coins or gems.

You need to meet level, neighbor, and coin requirements to be able to expand for coins.
First it will list the level you need to be at to expand using coins.
When you meet the level requirement it will list how many neighbors you need to expand using coins.
When you meet the neighbor requirement it will list how many coins you need to spend to expand using coins.
When you meet the coin requirement you can expand using coins.

So are you saying that even if i have reached the amount of friends it needs in order to expand, it has to be used with coins & gems ? because when i clicked to expand my restaurant (14 x 17; 15 friends) , it says "you dont have enough neighbors. Get more neighbors to proceed". i already have 15 friends, so i am confused. it doesnt tell me what level i have to be to expand because its not shaded out, i can actually click on it.

Once you reach the number of neighbours you then need to pay the coins. If you do a gem expansion you don't have the neighbour requirement. You also need to do the expansions in size order (no skipping :() it's possible that you need 1 more as stormie doesn't tend to count towards requirements.

You have to expand one expansion at a time. So your next expansion will be 16x19, then 17x20 etc.

It said when you get 15 neighbors you can expand your coffee shop. WHEN I GOT 15 NEIGHBORS IT DISAPPEARED!

The neighbours is the requirement you need to meet to do the expansion. When you've met the requirement you see the cost of the expansion.

Hi LizzieLou,

Welcome to the forums :) The number of neighbors is a prerequisite for expansion. Once you have the number of neighbors required, the expansion will show a price, and you can pay the required amount to expand your bakery.

Please also note that you can't skip expansions - for example, you cannot go directly from a 16x19 bakery to a 20x23. You can check which size your bakery will next expand to by tapping the arrows on either side of your bakery when you are playing regularly.

Numbers of required neighbors are stated including Stormie,
despite he isn't counted either in your profile
or in market tab with expansions.
There is no neighbors requirement for gem expansions.

Expansion originally required 45 friends. After I acquired them, expansion had gone to 50 friends. Thinking it was just an update, I acquired 50 friends. Expansion had now jumped to 55 friends. Puzzled, I got 5 more to make that 55 in one day. When I went to expand, the required # had jumped AGAIN to 60 friends. :mad::mad: Has anyone else had this problem?:mad:

The actual number of neighbors required to expand isn't rising and there's nothing wrong with your game. I'll try to explain using the example that you're starting at 20x23:

The first notice saying you needed 46 friends was for the 21x24 expansion. Once you've met the neighbor requirement for that expansion, you've still got to pay the 30 million coins to actually purchase the expansion and make your bakery larger. Whether you choose to expand right away or not, the game sees that you've met the requirement of adding 46 friends for the 21x24 expansion and it moved on to list the friend requirements for the next expansion, the 22x25. This keeps happening until you've added all the friends needed for all the expansions - again, this happens regardless of whether or not you're actually purchasing these expansions as they open to you. So, you're really just seeing the game notifying you that these coin expansions are now available for purchase; each time the neighbor requirement rises and you add more friends, you're unlocking a new coin expansion.

It can look a little confusing to keep seeing the number climb like that so I hope my explanation helped clear the issue up and didn't make it even more confusing. In case I explained it poorly, here are some links to threads that also discuss the issue and might answer your questions better:

I see. Thank you - I was thinking that instead of using coins, we could acquire friends to expand. Not both. You did explain it quite clearly tho ��
