Expanded Everywhere That's Safe to do So. But Items Outstanding

I'm at level 30 with 109 neighbours and was trying to expand down the coast to get the Gold Tower reward on the peninsular, but now when I try to expand I get the message "Attention" "You've already expanded everywhere in the Glimmer Wood that is safe to explore" Although I still don't have two items the Stairs, and the previously mentioned Gold Tower, both of which say when clicked on, "Expand here to claim your reward!"

Anyone any ideas why?

I think these areas are still locked for everyone. They should be unlocked in a future update.....someday.

Those areas are still locked. We should be able to expand to them in a future update.

Many Thx for the responses. Glad to know it's not me.

Just waiting for further updates then. Gives me time to build Wisp Lanterns & save up coins.
