problems with game

hello i have a problem with getting gifts. when i accept some of them i don't receive them. if i get two or three i accept them but one or two come up sometimes none.my second problem is that i cannot change my walls or floor.i was told how to but it dosent show up where i was told to go and i cannot find it anywhere else. i love to play this game ...hope u can help
