This thread is for us players of Farm Story to make sure that Team lava knows that we're still here. I've noticed lately that the farm forum has next to nothing for views and posts compared to fashion, bakery or restaurant.

I've put a poll up to see how many people as still playing. It would also be good if you post below that your playing so we actually see who you are if your a regular player or not.

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to stop by and answer a few questions many of you have been asking.

Where are the Farm Story 2 forums?

The forums will be up when the game is available for all users to download and play on the available platform(s). Since the game is still in limited release, you can post in the General forums (General Discussions (http://forums.teamlava.com/forumdisplay.php?68-TeamLava-Games-Discussion) / Bugs & Feedback (http://forums.teamlava.com/forumdisplay.php?70-TeamLava-Bugs-and-Feedback)), or you can also post in the Farm Story forums (Farm Story Discussions (http://forums.teamlava.com/forumdisplay.php?5-Farm-Story-Discussion) / Bugs & Feedback (http://forums.teamlava.com/forumdisplay.php?7-Farm-Story-Feedback-and-Bug-Reports)). The limited release allows us to work on additional polishes for the game, but also fix any bugs that get reported before releasing the game for everyone to try and play.


Will Farm Story 2 replace Farm Story?

Farm Story and Farm Story 2 are different games, so Farm Story 2 will not be replacing the first Farm Story game. We will continue to provide new content for Farm Story as long as there are still players playing the game.

Farm Story 2 is a different kind of farm simulation, because it has many new features that are different from the first Farm Story that we believe a lot of players will enjoy. You don?t necessarily have to play one or the other, you can play and support both games!


Will Farm Story 2 be available on the Google Play Store for Android?

The goal is to make our games available for all players to enjoy, regardless of the platform you are playing on. At this time, we are currently working on improvements on the Android development side, so you?ll need to stay tuned until we are able to provide updates on the progress.

We know Android players are interested in trying all of our new games and we thank you for patiently waiting while we continue to work on Android development.


I don?t see Farm Story 2 in the iTunes App Store. When will I be able to download and play it?

Farm Story 2 is currently in limited release while we make the final touches on it before releasing it to all App Store regions for everyone to download and enjoy. When the game is ready for a worldwide release, we will definitely keep you updated with new Farm Story 2 forums, blog posts, and Farm Story 2 Facebook and Twitter updates.


Is this a change in direction for TeamLava games?

Not necessarily. Our goal is to develop and release games with new exciting features our players want.

There are many that have been playing Farm Story for a long time, so we know you?re attached to the amazing farms and lovely friends you have met over the time you have spent playing. If you enjoy Farm Story, definitely continue to play it, but please don?t let your love of one game lead to negative feedback for Farm Story 2 without trying it first.

Our talented team behind Farm Story 2 have spent a lot of time developing the game and polishing the new features that we can?t wait to see everyone enjoy. Definitely give Farm Story 2 a try when it?s available for everyone and share your feedback, so we can discuss and use it to continuing improving Farm Story 2 for everyone.

I played that one for a couple days and quit. I just didn't like it. Nothing wrong with the game itself, I just live in Kansas, and I'm already surrounded by all that stuff lol. The games I do play take up too much of my time as it is, so I didn't really need to take on another one anyway.

That said, I DON'T want to see anyone lose another game by having it taken over by a "better" game, ala City/City Metro. I've read enough around here to know that it was a sad day when TL let that game go stagnant in favor of its replacement, and I have enough nbrs on my other games that also play Farm Story to know that it's still cared about and definitely needs to keep getting the attention it deserves! :D

I'm still playing. I love farm story. I would hate to see it go the way of Dragon Story. I play both on Android and I don't want to see the same loss of parity. Lets just leave Farm story alone.

I play daily and have been for couple of years and love it and have close to 200 neighbors, who also play daily - well most of them. I still have crops to master because I do keep decoration on my farm so I will be OK for a while, but honestly I'm not sure if I would want to switch to Farm Story 2 seeing some of the posts. I would like to keep this one going for little longer and wish Team Lava or Storm 8 wouldn't just drop / abandon this one.

Wow-my first post ever! I play everyday...on two devices so that means two farms. One is at level 105 (I think) and the other is my newbie farm at level 45ish. It's hard to play each farm every day but I do do it. It's relaxing to me and I've built some very wonderful and meaningful relationships with my neighbors. I would be really sad if they left or if TL stopped updating FS-which in turn might make them leave the game. I have not mastered all the crops on either farm; not even close to it. It is sad that TL doesn't seem to be "caring" about peoples requests. But it seems like that has been going on for a long time. I've been playing on my main farm for almost two years.

I've never spent a dollar on gems and don't really plan to at this point. I understand that that is how they want to make money...but I want to see how far I can get without spending "real" money.

Both my devices are android, so doesn't look like I'll be playing the new game anytime soon. From what I've seen on the forum about FS2-I get the impression that there are a lot of bugs to work out and it's somewhat frustrating for players. I hope that if they do bring it over for us android-ers, that they get the kinks worked out in time.

I'd like to think that if they do ever bring FS2 to android, that I'd be able to find all my existing neighbors again so we could still play together, but that might be a pipe dream.

LOL....I only have FS/RS/Castle left on my iPad and Castle/RS left on my phone. I've been tempted to quit FS and RS on my iPad but haven't done it yet and I can't tell you how many times I've almost given up on Castle. I don't check it as often as I used to on my phone or iPad as it has just been so boring. Even the new goal on Castle can't keep me interested in checking in more than a few times a day. RS/FS I check in the AM and PM and that is it, although there have been days when I've only checked in once and a few I didn't even bother opening the game at all. They are getting boring.

I play everyday & enjoy the conversations I have with my neighbors & drop ins. I recently came across Pinkster & she's alot of fun to talk to. It would be a REAL SHAME if TL canceled Farm Story. I've bought gems in the past but most of my gems have been earned. I play on Kindle Fire so no FS2 & I don't believe I'd play it even if I could. I'm a level 108 & 4 star water. I still enjoy the game and didn't update when the "tap to manage" update came out.
When I realized the feature wasn't bothering me at all I updated to the newer version, though I have to say it wasn't a big enhancement.
The game still crashes far to often for my taste!

I will keep on playing until I have mastered everything - while having a nice farm on display as well, not only crops - and hopefully by that point FS2 is released for Android as well.

I might quit again too. Even though its a good game and all, I just don't have many active Nbrs apart from Pinkster and I find myself face to face with withered crops a lot. I might give it till August until I make my final decision on whether to quit or not.

I've been playing for almost a year. I love the game, but am tiring of the same old same old. No goals, no sales on anything in the store, not even any prizes for leveling up!! Nothing to look forward too! I feel like TL just wants my money and doesn't care about this game at all. Even the udates have been terrible. The only thing that keeps me playing is the fact that I've put too much money into this game to quit! I'm not buying gems anymore tho. Power planting to earn what I can. We'll see how long I stay interested. It is getting to be a bore.

I started playing back in September 2012. Still play every day. I have neighbors that seem to play every day as well and don't see any of them on the forum. I enjoy it and I enjoy annoying people with it. You can't imagine how many times a week I hear someone say are you farming. What are you planting/picking? Mom says, gosh you are addicted to that game. But not really I just know when my crops come off and gather 'em up. I'm mostly doing the 1, 2 and 3 day stuff now. I wish more people were playing, I don't ever get fully watered anymore.

You can find the old version on your google play history. But it still will have tap to manage. I've tried it numerous times. I've just grown used to this dumb feature and am careful of how I farm. Earlier ive wasted about 60 gems on this trash. The worst was speed harvesting a fully expanded farm, with only ten trees planted.

It wasnt even full of crops. Just the stupid trees. I was so upset.

I can feel your pain with loosing gems. A few months ago I was just about to buy a LTO when out of nowhere a message telling me to fertalize ALL crops came up. You probably can guess what happened...yep, my gems gone and no LTO for me. Its so annoying. I'll look in my Google play history tomorrow morning. To lazy right now and its late. If the other version makes it a bit easier not to lose gems, it'll keep me playing just that little bit longer.

Google play, just like the iTunes App Store, does keep a list of old downloaded versions of games. I was explaining that you can find it anywhere. I've even searched games through google, had them pop up and tried to download them. If it isn't in the App Store itself, you cannot download it.

Unfortunately... when I did a factory reset on my device, it reset all the apps too and I couldn't get my Google play history cause I had to start over.

I don't buy gems for my tablet farm, and it's a very nice farm. However, I do have an Android tablet so I get quite a few gems by downloading other games. That certainly helps. :-)

I don't buy gems for my tablet farm, and it's a very nice farm. However, I do have an Android tablet so I get quite a few gems by downloading other games. That certainly helps. :-)

I suspect the most problems come with phones. As a tablet user, I have the same experience as you. I can only imagine how frustrating the pop-ups would be on a phone, especially when mis-tapping cost you gems. Some of the games are bad enough with that, even on a tablet, because of the menu pop-ups (like the one where we select crops, etc) having the previous/next arrows being so close to items, plus the lack of confirmation for purchase of items. I've had a few mis-taps mishaps with that (thankfully not for gems).

if they would give ore levels than 150 and maybe expand the size beyond 24 so people can make them look cool i would continue to play regularly, when FS2 is available to me i will drop FS

You never know! Sometimes who ever does the teasers either forgets to prepare one for a certain game, or they just don't have one prepared altogether. Hopefully that's the case! I don't play Farm Story, but I don't want to see it go down the same road City Story did... that was a terrible summer *flashback*

I think this may well be the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I have been through all this once with City Story when they canned that for Metro. I really can't be bothered to go through the whole thing again. My opinion is that they are dangling the "back in autumn" carrot so people still buy gems. The reality of it is that there will not be any more updates full stop. There is no way they will keep updating this when Farm Story 2 goes worldwide. Again that is just my opinion and I may well be wrong.

Farm story was my first TL game and is my favorite. I've been playing for over 2 years. Level 106. I still have nbrs. from when I began playing 2years ago. It does seem like it's been hard to keep nbs. over the past year. Many have quit and new nbrs. don't seem to play very long and I'm having trouble keeping enough active nbrs. to keep a 4 star rating. Most of the time, I have to go into the community and random water to keep my 4 star. I have bought gems a few times, but prefer to earn them mastering crops. Of course, then I lose them with the wonderful "tap to manage" and fertilize my whole farm in the middle of redecorating when there is nothing to fertilize. Yes. it was very frustrating!!!

Anyway, updates or not. I love farm story and will keep playing as long as it's available.

I also play RS & BS. I don't really like BS. Items are too high, and some of the themes seem cheesy. Who wants a pirate theme for 3 weeks...get real...move on to something else.

I guess we will see what happens at the end of the summer.

My point exactly. They just couldn't come out and tell us that those games were done for sure and that's what got me mad. If a game is done than tell us. I'm happy though that they've at least said something to keep our hopes up. If all goes well, we'll get more updates, and if all fails than farm better get a proper send off.

Well, the good news is that you can always delete and reinstall the game and it will not impact your farm - level, coins, gems...so maybe you could try that first. As far as the e-mail, did you use the support@storm8.com? or the old one, which was teamlava?

Every day I feel the same way. It is just so hard to reap, plow and plant. I build tool sheds for the heck of it...just to give me something to do so that the game isn't so monotonous. Why can we not have goals in Farm?

This is the only one of the games I still play on every single day. Will be really annoyed if they stop updating altogether but sadly I think that's just what's going to happen. It happened with zoo story and it'll happen with this one. I used to spend a lot of money on gems for this and zoo story but after they launched zoo story 2 and stopped updating the orginal one I swore I'd never spend a lot on gems again and I haven't. I was only playing FS for a few months (same as restaurant story, fashion story, bakery story and that nightclub game). I quit playing the farm game cause it got boring. My farm was starting to look good, but I so lost interest. The last few days of playing that game I just planted crops that took 2 or 3 days to mature; just so I wouldn't have to be bothered. Then I stopped planting. Apparently, my neighbors were mad, cause they all gifted me dog bowls. LOL. Sorry TL, but the farm game is just BORING!

I've been playing pretty much since it's inception, but there have been so few updates, I've managed to master every tree available, and am also most done with my last crops and flowers. Only have Tulip, Rice, Flint Corn and Red Quinoa to go. Very close with Tulip, halfway done with rank 3 on Rice/Flint Corn, and almost done with rank 2 on Red Quinoa. I'm also working towards level 151, which supposedly isn't achievable. Am VERY disappointed that Farm Story was left in the lurch without new Halloween decorations...or even the re-introduction of old decorations. It's sad to watch this game die a slow, miserable death. :(

This is no fair to the players who are still playing - which, by the way are A LOT. Us consumers are funding your company. I play 4 games and have for 2 years now. I quit Dragon Story because of the bugs and constant crashing issue. When I was playing DS I could not keep up with the updates, it was unreal. Here at Farm story, we get an update every few months now. I suggest you allocate some personal to this application and keep it going. And no, not to Farm Story 2 either - I am on Android & can't play that. We are your customers, we want to keep this game going and fund this - and TL says no thanks? Weird.

How do you unlock the goals in farm story. I have been playing since 09/2012, never received any goals to unlock. I would love to unlock these.

Those goals were available to iOS players in late 2011 and early 2012. Then they stopped providing goals, except for goals to download and play new games/versions. Android players playing in that time frame didn't get the goals, nor does anyone on any device who started playing after the goals were released.

They don't unlock goals once they are expired. Once last year they gave us the goal recipes in Restaurant Story (or was that Bakery Story) without doing the goals, but that's it. So it is possible to unlock the stuff without doing the goals, but that isn't their policy with the one exception.

..not sure if you know ..but you can switch between devices and play the same game..i used to have my Mai games on my iPad ..the newer TL games crash on my iPad ..so I now play them on my itouch ( I go back and forth through out the day on the itouch playing both of my accounts on my itouch )...I still play on my iPad also FS RS bs ( they don't crash ) but castle DS and farm 2 only work on itouch device for me ...there is a thread about login feature ..you access this through Resturant story ( 2 other puzzle games also ) become the gateway to access any storm ids you have by logging in and the switching login to another storm I'd....make sure you have password set up first .... So you can play same account on any device ..or multiple accounts on 1 device ....

I mainly played because of the interaction with the neighbours and the farming aspect. I liked making patterns with the different flowers/plants and enjoyed getting to each level to open up the next levels 'prize' and I thought the graphics were quite well done.

then it all stopped.

TL changed their focus. They decided that this game only needed "Limited" (means no) updates. Yet send out lots and lots of notifications asking you to buy gems. :confused: what the heck for?? The really odd part is that many many players ARE/were willing to spend money if we got updates. *shrug* dont understand that business philosophy, but hey its not my business and as a consumer I get to make the choice to not purchase their product.

Lots of players have left. so I personally wouldnt recommend it to be honest.

You're trying to be logical. Team Lava doesn't care about this game so they are not going to spend any of their resources supporting it. I doubt they read this forum either. Finally mastered all crops after 2 and a half years of playing farm story. So now I get to enjoy playing pixel art in the game, instead of worrying about mastering crops. Only one request though: could you please add a flower type crop (since those don't wither) in sky color (light blue) ? I currently don't have anything to make skies with, I tried Forget Me Not, but it has too much green in it. I wish they brough back the ghost crop we had a couple of years ago.

I'm playing it, just a few crops left to master. Since I'm not that much into decoration (I lack the creativity), I suppose I quit the moment I mastered all. I have the same with Bakery Story, but in that game there are atleast regular updates and goals to get. In Restaurant Story it takes a bit longer to master al recipies, but then it's over for me too. Pet Shop Story keeps a little more interesting, for there you need gems to get the needed pets, and there's no way to earn gems. Still I managed to get over 200 gems by installing other games, and perhaps I can get all animals that way :)

Didn't like Farm Story 2 at all, played it for a couple of weeks, but not my type of game.

20140712 Hello I have been playing farm story for a long time and I want to continue playing it. I have lots of neighbors that play every day. Why isn't Farm Story supported? Why are there no new items to purchase? If Farm Story 2 was supposed to be in place of Farm Story, it isn't. I do not like Farm Story 2. Not even close to the enjoyment I get from Farm Story.
PLEASE SUPPORT FARM STORY AGAIN & GIVE US NEW ITEMS TO PURCHASE.

i downloaded farm story 2 yesterday and didn't like it, wish team lava would add new stuff to original farm story, a lot of ppl still play. you keep starting 2 of everything instead of adding new and better stuff to original games. i play bakery restaurant and farm and love them all. Thank you

it is pretty obvious by now that Team Lava has no interest in updating Farm Story even though we are still supposed to keep buying gems. So how about bringing back all the crops, trees and decorations that have been made unavailable? How about it TL

I still play this game but when my Fire dies I am done with Team Lava. We need some support for this game. Gem sales, what a joke. The least you could do is give us LOYAL CUSTOMERS a chance to use our gems to purchase old items. Team Lava sucks.

i play farm story, i tried farm story 2 didn't like it. wish TL would give weekly updates to farm story for those of us still playing. would love new crops, and decor. it's a real shame to forget about a game that a lot of ppl are still playing.

I returned to the games after a year away...my little phone was just too small. Happier with a bigger screen now and thoroughly and pleasantly surprised that I could log in to my old account!

But my heart is still breaking over the fact I can't expand any more -- my farm will never grow. Nor are there any new items. There is no shortage of Farm Story players, and the artist sites are unbelievable. I'm trying to tolerate Farm Story 2 but it is so juvenile and there's really not much uniqueness between farms -- everyone will eventually have a deep fryer, silo, barn, etc. So far, I'm not impressed. Plus, FS neighbors are some of the best and courteous I've seen in these games.

PLEASE, TL, HEAR OUR PLEAS. Bring back some of those awesome Farm artists and give us some new stuff. There will be some of us who will ONCE AGAIN buy gems for the unique items and boxes.

I started fs1 on an iPod yrs ago 1 yr after getting an ipad TL gives up
TL please re look at the game and the amount of players you had on fs1. I read an article back in 2010 ? That you cleared 100 million in a yr. you can not dispute the fact that 80% of that was fs1 this farm was and will always be the best game you will ever have. The animation on fs2 is child like and unneeded to an adult. The crops on fs2 are useless you plant then use to make then ship to get money. There is no organizing of the farm due to having to have buildings that make stuff to sell. Then goals that are impossible to achieve without buying gems. After spending time and money to get a statue of something you don't want and the looks of it is 3rd grade at best. Or you give animals that cannot be put in storage. Waste of room. Again there is no seasons with fs2 there is no holidays in fs2 there is no change in fs2 it does not represent life like FS1. The playing field is much less and and again childish. Please bring back FS1 add animation call it 3 for all I care update our fs1 and let us get back to making you millions like we did so many yrs ago.

I play Farm Story every day. I don't like Farm Story 2. Too much hassle & not relaxing at all. Kids may like all these tasks & goals but everyone I chat with hates them. "Do this, then when you completed x, y & z, do this other thing. Don't forget to add so many nbrs that u will have to play for hours each day or night just to keep up." sorry but no thanks! Plus our artsy farms would be gone. Wonderful creations. Wish you would support original Farm Story too. No updates or anything anymore.

I think that's the one thing with Farm Story 2 that I hate, Beachhaven. You can't create anything artistic and beautiful with it. Just play to complete goal after goal after never ending goal. There were so many, many beautiful, designs in Farm Story by such creative players. It wasn't about completing goals or unlocking different areas. It was just pure and simple creative fun. Such a shame they stopped updating it.

Had some good times with this game. Great memories! Nothing good lasts forever, except GOD. Moved on to other games and away from TL games. Really got burned on Dragon Story being an android user. Miss farm story n my peeps :( most have moved on also.

I love my farm, this was the first team lava game I got years ago. I couldn't get fs2 on my old phone, but did DL it on my tablet for gems for other games on another account. I could not stand it. I have a different farm game that I like much better for my tablet. I just got a new phone and the first game I moved to it again was my farm story, my bakery and restaurant. I love my farm. I love that I can make it my own and also love its at a slower pace. My 7yr old loves it as well. I do wish TL would come back to us over here and give us some updates something new.....

So where is the support for Farm Story? We were promised new items and goals for fall of 2014 but we got nothing so far. You said as long as there are players there will be updates and support. Well, there are players but no support. I like this game. I don't always want to play a game where I'm waiting for things to cook. This game is more relaxing. We like that. Please provide us with the updates as you promised. I'm not moving to Farm Story 2.

I just started playing and love it. I hate farmstory 2 and will not be playing that game. I love the simplicity of farmstory and do not like how farmstory 2 has buildings already on the farm. If I can't remove all unwanted items from farm I will not play it. This happened to another great farm game and I no longer play that game. Although now that I know they are not updating farmstory I hesitate to buy crystals

My advise to you is don't buy any gems and don't get too much into the game. I've played it for 3 years, daily in the beginning, but now, with no updates and no support am stopping by ever so often. It is sad that Team Lava decided to move on from such a great game.

I still play mainly bc of my nbrs that have become good friends. I've wanted to quit several times bc of all the DRAMA, but they won't let me. If equal merchandise and crops aren't evenly offered no matter ur device and continued harrassment from other players is not stopped., I will not play anymore. It's a sad thing that pple can't just play a game, visit with nbrs without SOMEBODY having to turm it into some sort of dating site!! I take as much as i can then i speak my mind. EVERY SINGLE TIME , ITS ME THAT TEAM LAVA SUSPENDS! TROUBLE MAKERS NEED TO BE WATCHED AND DEALT WITH! :mad:

It's almost 2020 and the game is still running. If people don't occasionally buy gems, they probably will take it down.
