Visiting Neigbors

How can you tell when you visit a neighbor that their pets have already been played with. I have the pets visited as checked in settings but nothing is showing up

you won't be able to play with it.

The pets that got played with, will have little bubbly heart floating around them. Not as noticabe as tables tipped or liked received or watered crops, but it's still there. Also when you tap a pet that's already been played with, it will jsut tell you what type of pet it is, instead of "Tap to Play".
