Pop-up purchases

So I open up Pet Shop Story 2 days ago. As I click on one of the pets to collect, a pop-up appears and I end up spending all 25 of my gems on a "treasure box" or something that gives me some stupid snowman. Now I have no gems and some item I had no interest in buying, not through my fault, but because of the way the game is designed.

I e-mailed support and they told me sorry for the inconvenience, but we're not going to help you. I find that interesting because the threads here in which other people have had the same problem are told to e-mail support and then the thread is locked.

Just thought I'd warn other people...

Please note, that these types of situations can be different for each player. Emailing support is the best thing to do, in case there is something unique that happened in your game.
