Ignoring gifting

What happens when you ignore a gift? Does the gifter receive a notice it was ignored and is there a way to let them know why it was ignored? That frees them up to send another gift, correct? Why would anyone want to ignore a gift? Just curious.

The gifter doesn't know anything and it doesn't free them to send another gift. If you want to let them know why you declined a gift yu can use their wall.
The only reason why you would want to decline a gift is if you believe that you can get more than 20 gifts (the maximum amount we are allowed to receive per day), so by declining that gift you'd release one space for a better gift. Now, seriously, who gets 20 gifts a day in CS? Lol!
