monsters drops

recently I've completed the research to increase the monsters drops, and get 3 drops instead of 2 (i.e. 2 troll horns and 1 bone).
this lasted for 2 days, and now I'm getting 2 drops again! or even just 1 reward after ****ing a monster!

is this happening with anyone?

I had a similar experience where the second I completed the research I was getting incredible drop rates, then it seemed to revert. However, I learned that it's just increased drop rates, not necessarily guaranteed awesomeness. So sometimes you will get lucky and get 2 furs or 2 troll horns or 2 rat tails. Other times you will get 1 or none.

That one increase the quality of the drops so your more likely to get rarer items.
