agreed. maybe it'll do a rare drop of jewels kinda like the windmill with sacks of flour and thurston's fort with swords. the glimmerdust trove will come in really handy for newer players though. i remember having glimmerdust shortage all the time back then.

The jeweller could be interesting if there is a chance to get jewels like the flour from windmill, spellbooks from library, and longsword from Thurston's Fort. I will be needing about 200 RP in order to expand to the roost in a few days and may look at this building if there are occasional drops.

Ditto on the sap thing. It's sap and coal I have problems with. I don't even have enough sap to keep up with the glimmer dust I have on hand for making simple glue. As for coal, I know many of you have finished expanding, but for those of us with plenty of plots yet to open up, we need huge numbers of earth wisps, so the coal is a never-ending need! Bring on a coal mine, I say!

I like this new update because I can use some of my maxed out items such as sap and mermaid scales(easier to craft Enchanter's essence after have glimmerdust trove) . TL, please keep us with new update as often as possible so there's no game over for this game :D

I just got a Glimmerdust Trove as a boxed item from the spicy feast adventure. Too bad I didn't wait to send the knights on another adventure because right after I got the goal to send them out on a quest for the Trove. Now I have to wait 22 hours for it to reset. Oh well, at least I know from this thread what items I have to cook to be prepared!

I like that the Troves are available through adventures so I don't have to use gems. Unless they are rare drops like those Alicorn items.

I'm not sure if I should buy the pies to send knights out right away after the quest from ivy to get a better chance of getting GD trove. I bought one, wouldn't mind getting another from quest. First drop from it give me 1 GD, 2nd give me 3 GD.

Do you mean you paid to buy the trove on the market? I don't know if anyone has finished the questline yet to see if they get a Glimmer Trove at the end, though that's the assumption. Try checking your Inventory to see if it's there if you bought one.

Well, I didn't realize there was a quest I could possibly get a glimmer trove from so I bought two from the marketplace. I'm still happy about my choice because my red and pink fluttermush rings are barely producing glimmerdust anymore. The drop rate is about 30% when it used to be 60%. My first collections yielded 2-3 glimmers.

I put up my jeweler's building and have gotten coins and jewels so far. I like having another royal building. I'm almost able to upgrade my chateau to level 5 and it provided the last bit of royal points I was going to need to open up Manticore's nesting ground.

I believe the end of the quest line is that the new quest is unlocked at the castle, as seen above. Not sure if you automatically get a Glimmer Trove from the quest on the first try. Super Yummy Pies take 6 hours to make, so the requirement takes a while to fill.

Very interesting. I like this idea of one-time adventures with (hopefully) guaranteed rewards. I get pretty bored collecting the same things over and over in order to make the same feasts and items over and over in order to send knights on the same adventures over and over, and then getting no box or maybe my 14th pumpkin hutch.

If you're listening, TL, I am in favor of more of these.

i also got a glimmerdust trove in a box today from the dark caves adventure. in general it was a very good haul, 36 energy, 1 spellbook, 1 or 2 wisp lantern, royal block, silver ore, enchanted beam, glimmerdust. i'm quite pleased :) and the glimmerdust trove is very pretty

You didn't go on the adventure, you skipped the quest. That means you got the quest rewards ($1,000 and 3xp), not the adventure rewards. Reports are that the adventure is a one-shot deal, so hopefully you still have the option to go on the adventure once. If not, that stinks.

This morning I activated the goal to send the knights out to find the trove, but have to wait until tomorrow because they were already out for the day. Then just now ivy pops up and congratulates me on finding the trove and gives me 1000 coins. My quest isn't in the goals anymore. I did everything up to the adventure, didn't have enough rat tails to do adventure, so did another, then made two more (after the first two ) pies for ivy, so I could make 5, then do the glimmer dust trove adventure. When collecting the fourth pie, ivy came up saying now she can scribe (already done), then I checked in goals, and 'send for glimmer dust ' adventure isn't there, and neither is any other part of the goal. Like some wrote they had to do some parts twice, but I don't have the goal at all, don't have pies in kitchen anymore, and can't check castle till morning, but if I can't make pies I can't do adventure anyway?!?! Anyone else had this happen? I forced closed and re opened but there's no goal there at all?!?!?!?!?

I am in the middle of making my pies for the Glimmerdust adventure (3 made & 2 in the kitchen). Because the pies take so long to make, I had to send my knights out on The Hunt Roaming Bandits Adventure so they don't sit idle. They are not expected back for another 19 hours.

I was out visiting neighbors when I had one of those weird syncs blips & all of a sudden I got an Ivy pop-up dialogue, with her saying about how glad she was that I found the trove (I also think there was a coin & gem reward attached). Then the goal was gone from my Kingdom Goals. What???? I looked all over my kingdom for it, looked in my inventory, forced closed the game, but I don't see it anywhere.

My concern is that people are saying the glimmerdust trove adventure may be a one-time thing & I'm afraid when my knights come back tomorrow, that I will no longer have the option to send them out on that adventure.

Anyone encounter this and/or have advice on what to do?

Well I got a trove from a regular adventure this morning and was wondering if that affected the quest line when I saw Ivy pop up. I only just finished sent my knights on the finding trove quest for about twenty minutes when she appeared. Hope all my pie making ingredients weren't wasted and I actually get another trove when my knights come back...

The same thing just happened to me and the recipe for the pies disappeared along with the goal. So even if the adventure for the knights still remains I have no way of making the last pie I need to send them on the adventure.

My guys are out hunting bandits, since this morning before this came up, so I've not even had a chance to see if the adventure was ever even there. My pie recipe is gone though, and I hadn't had a chance to make any of them for the adventure either. Only thing I used gems to skip was the earth wisps - trying to expand to the roost and didn't want to give them up!

Yes, there was a sync that occurred just before ivy popped up but it was different than most. This one frozed my screen for a few seconds longer than normal then there was a small flash of light around the pigs I had just touched then the arrows reappeared. But the screen most definitely frozed.

I just finished making my husband a banana cream pie and wanted to check the game before I maxed out on energy. I opened the game and had 26 energies, progress sign flashing for bubble mania, 2 new messages. Started collecting from my three chickens, four fruit trees, one school, four pigs then that strange really long sync happened and after the pigs stopped glowing, ivy popped up.

I just had the same problem happen to me. A pop up came up that said congratulations that I found the trove....BUT there is no glimmer trove that came out. I was collecting from libraries and fort. The glimmer trove quest is also gone from the adventures....I closed game, deleted it and re-installed. Still no luck. There seems to be a glitch..I see that others have the same problem.

Also,, I see that the glimmer trove is now 40 gems...wasn't it 20 gems? Or am I in error.

Can't believe this! Same thing happened to me. I opened CS and the goal for the Trove opened with Ivy giving me the reward for completing the goal. I did not complete the goal! I guess I was lucky on this bug ... sort of. I had not bought a trove, and sent my knights out on the Trove adventure just a little before it happened. I tried force quit, etc. My knights were still on the adventure and not expected to return until tomorrow, but Ivy congratulated me on finding the trove. After a force quit did not reveal a trove in my inventory, I panicked and gemmed the adventure done. After spending gems to finish extremely early, the adventure did give me a box with the trove. Sounds like I just escaped the problem, but spent a lot of gems unnecessarily.

Same problem here. I bought the trove yesterday with gems, then spent all day cooking those disgusting pies so I could get another trove through the new adventure. The pop up came up congratulating me on finishing the goal and gave me some cash, but I hadn't even sent the knights out yet. This just happened to me too. I was half way through making the pies for e adventure. I logged back in after a few hours break and e pop up of completion happened, yet I have not adventured. I no longer have the quest. And I don't have the reward. It seems to have triggered without reason.

That means the star costs 1120 coins. But why would I do that when I get a star any way

which takes 6 energies to clear. I would consider the quest if they give a gem instead of a star
or a star but with 2000 coins.

Ya, me too. I have to say I am majorly irritated with this. Every time there's an update, it's accompanied by a major glitch. People lose items and gems, gameplay is disrupted for a week or more while they fix it. Is this a beta test of a game or is it a real game? I just spent 24 hours making yummy pies that I can't even use now, AND I can't go on the quest.

I would like an explanation on why this keeps happening. This is unacceptable. If I had purchased this as a product like a vacumn cleaner it would have been returned. And don't give me that garbage that this is a free game. I've spent several hundred dollars on this game.

Unfortunately my knights where still out on another adventure and not do back for 12 plus hours. I have done all the typical force close stuff and nothing. I don't think it's a glitch, and they took away the quest for the trove on purpose because they realized people were already getting troves from regular adventures (probably programming error there) and didn't want to give away more gem costing troves. Maybe the quest will return once they remove the code that gave away troves on regular adventures.

I had the trove quest available this morning, but hadn't yet met the requirements. Everything else around the quest has been accomplished without error. Truth be told, the trove is great and I very nearly spent money on it, but my serious pain point resource is and always has been mermaid scales. I'd shell out cash for a reliable source for mermaid scales.

I noticed that this problem showed up the same time the "Seasonal Ignorance" goal showed up for Bubble Mania Seasons。If it walks like a glitch and talks like a glitch it just might be a glitch。

If u don't mind loosing eggs and the time I'd use the opportunity to keep cooking the pies so u can make 7 total, two for ivy and 5 for the adventure. Just don't give the 2 pies to ivy as yet. In my secondary account I did not give her pies as yet and I can still make more pies. I think it's a glitch that's why I'm still making them and I'm hoping they'll fix the problem.

Same thing for me. I have 9 ponds and wells. Usually I get 1 mermaid scale per 3 fish. Since yesterday I got over 60 fish and got only 6 mermaid scales. That said, since the update I have the same problem with red circlemushrooms, they don't give as much glimmerdust as they used to.

Yip, my drop rate for both have slowed. I've found though whenever I need an item for a goal the drop rate reduces so maybe its triggered in the code or something because its just too much of a coincidence. I'm also now running low on coal and I've never run low on that before!

Wow, you still have them both. I haven't seen any fix yet. I had created 2 pies for the quest then the quest disappeared. I think you should continue.

I'm making my last pie and am waiting to collect from my castle until the last pie finishes. I'm hoping the adventure will still be there and it lets me complete without glitching gone on me. I hope everyone's games corrects soon. This is such a bummer. But not as bad as the missing Alicorns.

Since the update i have lost items, what shows as 1/2 e.g to make the magic cement i need two builders paste yesterday i made one and i already had one but wheni collected it, it showed only 1/2 and the original was not in my inventory and again for the simple feast i started making grits, i already had one and i finished the 2nd but it only shows 1/2 and again not in my inventory. Frustrating.

Well, people have reported it dropping two glimmerdust, or you can save it up for an Apple tree or Wizard school if you don't fall into gem traps often, it depends. You'll just have to wait and see:)

I got mine from the adventure. Collection time is 4 hrs. Imo, its not worth 40 gems.

I got my first glimmertrove from a bandit quest (which was sent before the update but ended after update)
Got my second from the glimmerdust quest.
(this quest disappeared after one try)

I dont think it worths 40 gem, but I am over the quests which needed many glimmerdust. For low lvl player it can be good.

I bought my Glimmermine, (have a lot of gems from playing the "other game" quests...yes I know that TL games do not give gems for other games.....and whatever else the verbage is that comes up when this is discussed). I do think it is worth it, as I get 3 glimmer dust every 4 hours, and I was getting next to nothing by watering mushroom rings. I have not gotten the adventure/quest yet, but am working on the Ivy goals to get there.

I had the same problem as journeysmom and did what she did. I hadn't realized I could get glimmer troves from adventures until after, but I've been pleased with my purchase--worth it for what I'm doing--and they have not disappeared. I'm about to collect from the glimmer trove adventure tonight. I'll see if that one follows through or drops off.

I would have felt the same way, but I'd already been collecting from multiple red and pink mushroom rings with nearly no return. I felt I had no choice if I wanted to advance this spring. Maybe it's just my kingdom and others are collecting glimmers easier from MR rings. My troves have returned anywhere from 2-5 glimmer dusts per collection, so for me, it's been totally worth it.

Now I'm having the same problem getting mermaid scales as I had with glimmer dust. After I got the third shard, they came easier. Now it's like I don't have the third shard at all. Trying to find them is like trying to squeeze blood from a tree. They just aren't there. I went from a 50% drop rate to a 5% drop rate. I can't help but wonder if this means TL's next update is going to be some aquamarine quest/source to collect mermaid scales from. :/

I totally understand you. Thankfully I don't "need" glimmerdust anymore, but just trying to max out after using some for any potion is such a pain. In my kingdom, red mushroon circles seem to drop as few as any other mushroom used to give :(

Agreed, after months of having always some stock in my inventory, now I am back to 0 and spend lots of my energy trying to get some to craft the next potion. Imo it feels like we will get a mermaid pond with our next update ;)

You might have hit the Royal Building limit - I believe it's capped at 26.

I think if you haven't lost it yet you may be okay. My quest line didn't glitch even though I collected my last pie and sent my knights out after people reported problems.

I'm not too impressed by the glimmer trove so far. I'd like it a lot better if it was an automatic troll trigger, since I'm way more desperate for troll essence than glimmer dust.

I was able to complete my line of goals and received my gimmerdust trove from the adventure this morning. By the way, I don't have the Bubble seasons goal (I did that one for Christmas I think) so maybe that is the reason why I didn't have any glitch.

As for the goal that hasn't been triggered, I first thought you needed to be at a certain level. But since nobody has said anything about that yet I suppose there is no level requirement as far as you can craft Enchanter's essence. So I'll suggest to go or the classics: have you force closed your game, then your iPad? If that didn't do it, have you tried uninstalling and installing again CS. If none of that worked, I'd contact support@teamlava.com. Good luck!

As for the Baron's quest line, it leads up to a new recipe in the kitchen, Feed the baron (http://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?40888-Feed-the-Baron). Every time you do it the baron rewards you with some random (often craftable) item: glimmerdust, potions (like simple glue, superglue and builder's paste), jewels, blocks (all kinds except ornate, I think), beams (again, all kinds except ornate) or even wisp lantern. You know the baron, he is super lame and often he would give you a single glimmerdust. However, I suspect that if you get him to drink too much Dom perignon with his truffles he may reward you with a wisp lantern ;)

Couldn't agree more re mermaid scales! I just can't get them. They're dropping less and less, and I can never get enough for my needs. I manage fairly well with most other items, and I have learned to be patient, but mermaid scales evade me, and leave me quite frustrated!

Hi guys, I got the quest line and goal just after it was released, about 12 -24 hours. Checked out the forum and saw all the mentions of glitches. Was a wee bit worried but pursued it anyway and was able to complete it properly without loosing any stages or recipes or adventure. So can confirm it is working now as have returned successfully from adventure and have trove in kingdom now. I have bubble seasons but did not buy a trove for gems. Hope this helps those out there who have not completed yet but got my fingers crossed for all those that got initial glitch to be fully reinstated for whatever point they got to soon. It's only fair.

My knights just got back from the trove quest, so no glitches on this quest for me, anyway. I would've liked to have known this was coming up, though, because I would've saved the 40 gems it cost to buy, and just done the Adventure. I guess it can't hurt to have 2 because between superglue and enchanters essence, I am going through glimmerdust pretty quickly.

I followed through the trove quest line and also got my trove with no trouble. And I'm happy to report that I got my record high of glimmer dust from one trove tonight: a whopping 6.

Ugh, I am having a terrible time getting enough rat tails for these pies. I'm not sure if its because I'm level 30 or not, but I rarely come across skunkupines & don't always get rat tails from Ivy's hut :/

It is.
However, for some people they disapear BEFORE they can send their knights in the trove adventure, that's the glitch ;)
