I didn't get this, but I got the Baron asking me to buy two pieces of debris, and I quest I instantly finished that asked me to find the sneezing (Thurston)

There were three other goals, but they passed by so quickly I couldn't record them. One was to buy two pieces of debris for the Baron. Then there were two similar goals involving the Baron asking you to find the source of sneezing. I think you were supposed to expand somewhere, but since I'm mostly fully expanded, I sped through them.

The jeweller seems to just give coins and RPs. The glimmerdust trove has a timer on it once you place in on your map, which makes me think it's going to give you glimmer dust.

These goals come up after you complete the "All That Glimmers" goal for Ivy.

Try hard-closing your game...see if it shows up after rebooting. You may also have to collect from Ivy's House or something for the questline to trigger.

I love the idea, I am grateful for anything but really, 2? Thats a drop in the ocean. I get about a 1 dust in three drop from red mushrooms. And over the last days I've harvested enough mushrooms to earn my Trial of the Nurturer. A building that drops at least 5 would be much more helpful, unless it can be collected often.

What is the duration on the collection of the trove?

And now I have to chop down more trees for the sap requirement. Sap is as painful to come by as glimmerdust.

When I collected an enchanters essence, Ivy said something about needing lots of glimmer dust for it, and the goal chain started. So maybe you need to do something that involves glimmer dust. (Such as collecting something that uses glimmer dust or collecting glimmer dust from something.)

I wonder if this chain ends with the ability to craft the glimmer dust trove or with a "freebie" trove? (That's speculation, not known fact.)

ok i tried making a super glue, sped it up and collected. but no Ivy goals yet. must be the enchanted essence. but of course i only have 2 mermaid scales >.<

I don't remember 100%, but I think the quest line started when I collected from the Purple Cow and got a Glimmber Bulb...but I'm not sure.
