We're trying a little something different this week for our contest. We challenge all of you to a Three Star Throwdown! You can only get Gems or Gold for these three games and only for the game you get 3 stars in.

This basically forces you to connect your game to your FB account if you want to participate, very sneaky tactics there.

And you know what happens when you do that, all your friends un-friend you for spamming them with "hey, I leveled up in such and such game".

What a tricky way to get people to like these pages, for just a chance of a few gems.

Wow. This is unreal. I deleted these games a while ago because they were getting annoying. Guess I wasn't alone, and this is TL's way to get players back.

But releasing my ID on Facebook. Umm no. I get enough neighbor requests as it is, I don't need to advertise for more. And only getting gems/gold to apply to these games isn't worth it. I need them in DS not in games I don't play anymore.

You're not required to connect to Facebook for these contests. If you are uncomfortable posting your Storm8 ID on our Facebook pages, you can choose to post your Support ID for these games. The Suport ID is a secondary unique identifier for some of our games which you can find in the Settings menu (small cog wheel icon). Other players will not be able to add you in other games with this information. If there's any other suggestions you have to improve this, let us know. Thanks! :)

Then how do you do it without adding these games to your facebook page? Just take a screenshot when you get 3 stars on these levels?

We are able to look up this information with your Storm8 ID or Support ID. No screenshot needed. :)

Umm... what if you don't have a Facebook account and you aren't planning to get one??? I have three stars on so many levels in all of those games, but I don't get rewarded if I don't have a Facebook account. So...?

I agree with Evangelina, I don't participate in Facebook (never did, never will). I would hope future contests integrate forum participation from Facebook, bringing more facebookers to the forum instead of bringing the forum-ers to Facebook.
