Cancel terrain change

i want to keep lakes, but i accidentally pressed on my natural lake, and it started destruction progress for it, can it be cancelled?

Unfortunately no. Either continue to clear it, or live with the axe.

My city Lakeview has 3 lakes with the axe hanging over them. My buildings are so close, sometimes I get the lake. I even got 2 of those lakes twice. I don't remember the amount, but you get a lot of chops before the lake starts filling in. You're the only one that sees the axe, so ignore it or remove lake. You will get more lakes.
