Finally got it using Ft x Cheshire.

I don't seem to be getting anywhere with FT/Diamond, so as soon as my 2nd Cheshire is evolved, I'll switch to that combo. Just out of curiosity, do you remember how many tries before you got it ?

Fairytale Fairytale gotten me many fairytales , then cheshire ..then big bad on my main account .now back to infamous Saturn ( gave up on 💎💎) ...secondary account ft ft got me more ft , big bad and Dawntree .....

Would it be worth it getting another Fairytale, or continue trying for it with Fairytale x Night?

3 days back to back. I didn't speed up much. Got mostly FT, 1 Cheshire and several Air and Forest (those I sped up)

I don't have diamond but I can't seem to get it with night and FT. Has anybody had any success with a different combination which does not involve either another FT or the Cheshire which surprise, surprise I also don't have.

I don't mind those fails as I can try again sooner. It's the fruitifuls, FT and Cheshire fails that irk me. Currently have a parakeet fail so I guess that's a compromise.

Still no Big Bad!!! 6 Airs, 2 Forests, 1 Cheshire, 5 Fairytales, and 2 Dawntrees so far using Fairytale and Cheshire. I would switch to FT and Diamond, but I'm worried about all the Fruitful and Fairy fails I'll get with that. Although, chance of getting Gold... Ugh. I think Big Bad's hidden color is black, maybe I'll try that.

20 days trying for big bad and no luck. I wonder if I will ever get it. Now I thought cheshire and diamond couldnt give fruitfuls but yes it does. I have gotten 3 in a row. Maybe if the ft and hidden color of big bad works better...

I think Fairytale and Fairytale/Cheshire is the fastest combo, it just give you 20 seconds, 2 hours, 10 hours and 12 hours as fails

This Big Bad might be the death of me x_x

Been trying almost literally since the day it was released. Have loads of Cheshires and Fairytales, but not a single Big Bad :( And yes, I've been trying every combination possible...frustrating!!

Me too. This dragon is avoiding my island like the plague. Used chesire and fairy tale but got nothing new. Tried diamond and diamond and got some new dragons and a bunch of chesire and fairytales (got kitsune, stone and black swan) but no BIG BAD. Really like this dragon and I want it.

I Dont believe this how can some people get this Bigbad on there frist few trys? Iv been tryin for days now and all im getting is Cheshire air forest fariytale and the last 3 days iv had 3 of the dreaded Dawntree.Two with ft+ch and today I couldn't believe I got one with Cheshire+Cheshire. I think I'm jinxed.I think this game no's somehow the more you want a certain dragon the harder they make it.Im given up for a few day now.

I know it's a weird suggestion, but try reversing the order of the pairing that was getting you the Dawntrees.

After my many, many, many fails with pairing Fairytale with Diamond, I switched to Fairytale and Cheshire which resulted in:
FT, Air, For, For, For, For, For, Air, Ches, Air, Air, Air, Air, Air, Air, Air, For, For, For...
At that point I thought I would try Cheshire with Cheshire (after seeing it suggested in this thread) which resulted in: For, Air, Ches, For, For, For, Ches, Air, FT, For, Ches, BIG BAD

It took me a long, long, LONG time (as all of my many fails aren't even listed here) but I finally got it. Cheshire+Cheshire pairing seemed to do the trick for me, so thank you for the help everyone.

I've been trying to get big bad since the fairytale element came out, FT & Cheshire weren't too much trouble, BB is ****ing me. The only 2 breaks I've had from trying for BB is 1 pairing of night & virtue (just to break up the boredom, LOL) and 2 hrs of trying for Crusader (got on 61st attempt!). I've just started keeping a record of my attempts at BB and for 33 back-to-back attempts (including spending 150gold on speeding some up) I still have NOT got big bad :( :( I've tried parings of Diamond + FT/Cheshire, FT+FT and FT + Chesire.
I couldn't face yet another fail, so decided to try for dino yesterday and amazingly got that one first try, he'll be on my nest in a few hrs time :)
I really want big bad, so will be trying again when dino is out of the breeding den, but I wont hold my breath!

Well done again, your persistance paid off :)

I was trying combos like crazy too.
After reading this forum and checking out what was working for a few other people, I went with Cheshire+Cheshire and stuck it out. That's what worked for me.
Maybe give that one a try?

Yes, those were back to back, lol. I was super stubborn about getting this little bugger. Luckily, my first two attempts after getting big bad were getting bubble and independence, so I was happy for my new lucky streak after all those fails. Now to try for all those stone dragons...

Had to make a correction. I got my 14 hour with fairytale x Cheshire. I was using fairytale x fairytale and got 2 fairytales in a row and decided to switch to Cheshire. Sorry for the confusion.

I used FT x Cheshire up until Quetzal came back and got 0 BBs. Just firewood/Darntrees, 1 Cheshire and a handful of FTs. When Quetzal leaves again I may try for BB, but I'm soooo burnt out on Darntree and have gotten 0 non-duplicate dragons in the past 3 weeks, so I may need a break with a combo that has a 0% chance of that obnoxious firewood dragon.

I'm having a good luck streak for a change, got Leo on first attemp and now the elusive bb. Think I'll try for my missing dinos next.

Woo Hoo! 14 hour timer. Finally got this ( really finally had time to ) using FT & FT. Took about a dozen tries with a couple forest fails, multiple air fails but not one Cheshire or Fairytale dragon fail since using the FT & FT combo.

Folks, you can breed Big Bad from:
fairytale-fairytale,
fairytale-black,
fairytale-diamond, or
diamond-diamond.

But there's a foul move here. TeamLava apparently INSTANTLY REMOVED CHESHIRE at the same time they slapped the timer on Big Bad.
Players got NO NOTICE that Cheshire was leaving!
Are you serious? Cheshire is gone with no notice at all??? Well.....that stinks. It's very unfair to all players who still haven't got it. :(

Fairytale is a rare result of Air x Forest. 10h timer, just like fruitful.

I got Big Bad last night (FINALLY). Used Fairytale x Cheshire. I had tried for probably 2 weeks to get this dragon and it netted me multiple darntrees, so I'm thrilled to finally be getting one. FT x FT, FT x Cheshire, and Cheshire x Cheshire all indeed have the least amount of fails for Big Bad.

Also, Cheshire is no longer in my market either. I have 2 (one of which I need to sell at some point to free up that 3rd spot), but still, I never once saw a pop-up that it was leaving :(

You can use Fairytale/night or Fairytale/diamond too to get big bad, or 2 Fairytales if you can get them quickly enough

Somehow I knew they would go after the Fairytale dragons after they eliminated the Cosmic ones. Since that happened (and I lost the chance to ever get an Eclipse) I've been trying for this one. I tried everything: FT/FT, FT/Diamond, FT/Cheshire, Diamond/Cheshire, Cheshire/Cheshire, and have gotten hundreds of Airs, Fires, Fairytales, Cheshires, Fruitfuls, Darntrees and Fairies. I'm really mad that now my time is cut to three days when trying for two months resulted in only failures. I even tried boosted breeding a couple of times and came up with the same fails. This is truly annoying.

Stick to FT x FT, FT x Cheshire, or Cheshire x Cheshire to avoid Fruitful, Fairy and Parakeet. I got a handful of Darntrees too before I finally got my Big Bad, but they're only avoidable if you use FT or Cheshire with a black element, and that opens up so many other fails :(

Why would you use night? Night splits to its colors of blue and purple. Blue and yellow got you mist. Just use the basic colors you need, Fairytale and Cheshire, Fairytale and Fairytale or Cheshire and Cheshire. Fairytale or Cheshire and diamond

Night is blue and purple. Your dragons split and lent the yellow and blue to give you a mist.

If you actually want a Dawntree, just use Forest x Forest. The only other fail for that combo is Forest. But I've gotten at least 13 without trying for them, so honestly I wouldn't bother until it's limited (whenever that glorious day happens), unless you want them for crafting or something.

Sorry you missed out on quetzal. I got it when they hadn't introduced the Darntree so all my fails were easy Forest ones. But I lost the Eclipse when itbecame limited and I learned my lesson. Next I'm going to try breeding all the Stone dragons before they too are made Limited.

the DT was a pain...and i dint get eclipse/saturn either..so my cosmic is lonely in his incredibly expensive habitat..i got the mythics to get, too..gonna try for them next..i ahve none of the stones/dinos, so they are not much of a priority for me ATM..

Mine too. I had island fails, poison fails, mist fails and fruitful fails trying for this. Although considering how many attempts it took me to get FT, i'm not surprised I didn't get it

Hes gone from my market at least half hour now so, I guess bye-bye to the naughty Big Bad dragon:( I never could get him at nearly two hundred atempts (if you include all the forest and air fails) and at least half dozen fairytale just today. Didnt want to pour more gold into him in case he does return sometime. 2 cheshire and 1 FT will have to do.

Another Dragon which I was breeding for two months straight to try and get that gets removed from game. Starting to get a little fustrating, all these updates, changes, adding dragons, nearly impossible any more to breed for the dragons for the set amount of time they give you to get them. I wasted enough gold on this app, I'm not doing it anymore especially since I never have any luck getting these dragons they decide to remove, or any of the others from the mythics, diamonds families.

I got the Eclipse and Saturn so easily, and for this one I could scream. The same with Medusa!!!!! These dragons aren't rare or super rare, they're effing impossible. And they know it.

Oh did you got eclipse & saturn easily ? My cosmic's habitat is just filled with 2 cosmics ( boo ), but i have 2 set fairytale, chesire, and big bad. ;)

Another dragon lost and gone. Perhaps my Fairytale Dragon will join my Cosmic Dragon's club of lonely dragons all alone in their habitats, if I can't get my hands on a Chesire :/ I wish they'd let these dragons stick around for a while longer or at least make them a little easier to get when they start the count down until their demise. Combining this and all the new dragon updates and other limited amount of time dragons that are practically impossible to get makes this one frustrating game lately.

Just got this one (after trying for tinsel for way too long) on both accounts a few minutes apart! And glad for that after all the trouble I've been having breeding the Christmas dragons before they're gone. Went right back to trying for tinsel, and got....wait, for it.....STUPID FIRESTORM!!! No, cause you'd be lacking the black component.

Also, the Red Queen isn't a pure Fairytale type but a Red + Fairytale hybrid, unlike the Big Bad and Cheshire. So whilst it's possible to get a Big Bad from a Cheshire + Cheshire or Fairytale + Fairytale combination, you can't get it from a Red Queen + Fairytale combination.

If you're wondering why some are able to get Big Bad with a Fairytale and Diamond combination without black coming in, it's because when you're breeding with a Diamond, certain color rules, that apply to other dragons, are bent; or perhaps Diamond is supposed to encompass many colors?
