Sudden increase in rare drops

Is this a fluke? Do they become more frequent as you go up levels? I hit level 28 yesterday and in the span of 5 hours got a golden egg and 2 golden apples! (That makes 5 golden apples ever received in the entire time I've played the game).

I just got my 4th golden apple ever yesterday...I do hope it's an increase, I was starting to give up on ever seeing a golden apple again.

Boy, do I wish that's true. Been waiting on golden apple, alicorn parts, and more knowledge shards (only have 1 in all the time I've been playing). Keeping my fingers crossed. X

I think it's just random luck. Some days you just get really lucky.

I just got two golden apples in one week. I hadn't seen any in months! But I agree, I think it's all random.
