Wall messages, news feed messages

Under the messages section there are tabs for wall comments and news feed. When I visit restaurants there is only the option to write messages on the wall. How do I write messages on news feed section?

The wall is for messages. Leave messages there...

The news feed just tells you the last ten people who tipped you. Likewise, when you tip someone, that action shows up under that person's news feed for them to view.
