Baking Assistants

How do I obtain an assistant? When I first started playing a few months ago I could have sworn I was offered. But now can't find them anywhere. I'm at level 47 with a 4 star rating.

The baking assistant were just something for a quest, there are no actual assistants in the game. If you're asking how to complete that quest, just press the button beside where you're asked to get them and request it from your neighbours.

Where, in the game, am I asked to get them? I'm never given that option.

I think it was one of the quests. To get to your quests, simply click the clipboard icon to the top left of your screen, there you can view all active goals that you have.
