Coins reduce by itself

Sometimes when I buy a habitat, after installing it, it automatically disappears and about 80% of the value is added back to my coins. Why does this happen?
Also, sometimes during the game, an arrow marked 'process' appears next to the goals and my coins are substantially reduced. When this happens, any food growing is also wiped out. When I see the goals, a certain goal is tagged 'process' but I cannot complete the goal right now as it involves more coins than I have. What am I supposed to do?

It sounds like your game is syncing with the server and reverting to a previous time, possibly with errors.

I would try uninstalling the game and reinstalling. If that doesn't work, making sure your connection to the internet and/or cell data is stable.

More technical people would probably be better able to help you if you told them if you were playing on an Android, Kindle, or iPod/iPad/iPhone.
