That will most likely get you a Magic. Blue + Red = Magic almost all the time.

I think it's 100% chance .... All dragons are breed able without buying gold.... I havent bought gd and have all the dragons except for diamond still trying

****UPDATE*** So I spent the gold to speed up my fire dragon and mist dragon breeding. Sadly when I click the finish breeding button come to find a mist dragon egg. Wtf? I'm completely on how a fire(lv7) and mist(lv7) made a mist dragon????

Sorry yet another question: going back to the game I saw that most of the purple habitat dragons can also go in another colored habitat, depending on which color they were bred, so my question is: how can we breed the magic dragon, the one that is purely purple?

Use a pure fire and a pure water, because odds are you'll get a Magic. If you don't then your lucky and get an Athletic which is rare. Only 2 you can get from that combo :)

I have several magic dragons. you should be able to breed all dragons but it takes time and patience as you may end up with several of one type. Getting the rare dragons is not certain. sometimes you get what you want on first try asI did with my first breedings. Keep trying combos and read this forum. lots of great advice here. ask questions if you need help.

Thanks for your reply, I haven't bought a purple habitat yet, waiting to see if I breed a purple, been very lucky on my last 2 attempts getting Scorpion and Parakeet, Parakeet from Fruitful and Fruitful.

Hoping to try a few more, will perhaps buy a habitat in the hope a breed works lol

You can breed it, you just have to figure out which two basic dragons you need from the riddle in the quest:
The magic is purple and it loves hot water...

You can breed a Magic (Purple) Dragon by breeding Fire and Water dragon. Diamond is a combo of any 4 elements... I don't have one yet but there are plenty of combos on the forums that you can try.

Note that the magic dragon is a rare, and so is the other fire/water combi (athletic) so you may get one or another. Keep trying.

Also, the diamond is very hard to get for most people. It needs all four elements, but some people have replaced fire or water with purple, others have included light...

Forestfire is a water / air hybrid. You can see its elements in the market in-app. It's a SUPER RARE so unless your game has a tendency to breed forestfires, it won't be easy to get. I don't have one either.

On another note...
What's up with the title of the thread? Why not explain what you need in the title, like "question about breeding..." ?? Writing a title such as you have is a bit annoying. Besides there is already a reference thread you can use for breeding discussion, to take care of some doubts:

Keep trying. The only dragons that can come from fire and water mix, are athletic and magic. Both rares, so there SHOULD be an equal chance ... Tough that's not entirely true. :p i got 2 athletics before a magic, but a lot of people had magics before an atletic.

Those who got no luck or normal case would not post here, usually.

I guarantee if you lucky ones keep breeding red+blue, the rate of getting Athletic would be slightly less than 66.6%..;););)


I consider Athletic as a true RARE (at least rarer than Magic) based on the following:

1. I myself got a lot Magic (at least more than 10), but only 2 Athletic, during 4-color breeding.

2. Athletic costs 740 gold in the Market, higher than many rare or super rare dragons.

3. Athletic makes more than 1000 coins per hour, fit the rare-dragon average standard (comparing with Magic: 540/hr)

I don't think they based the breeding system from RL genetics. Just take 2 elements and put them together, with fire x water, 4 elements, and diamond x diamond being special cases.

Um......you may be frustrated at the moment but believe me, you will get your Magic dragon. And down the track just a little more, you will be cursing those 20 hr fails 0.0
