Somethings wrong with mermaid scales

I mean it's a rare drop, but I've collected from my ponds 50 times now and haven't even gotten 1 (ONE) mermaid scale. Whereas before I usually get at least 2 scales from 9 ponds.

It's an ingredient in a lot of things so if this is a new change, I do not approve.

It a luck drop, I just collected 12 in my last pass out of 5 ponds/20 wells

Statistically it is unlikely/improbable that something would go from an average drop rate of 2/9 or 12/25 (and 2 out of 9 was an understatement, it's more like 3-5/9 for me too) to 0/50. That's going from 22%, to 02% (if I had gotten 1 out of the 50, which I have not yet, so the % could be even lower still)

It may be a "luck" drop but there is a programmed occurrence rate behind it, since this is a coded game and all.

Are you maxed on water? I often get poor drop rates for fish/scales when i am maxed on water.

I am, and just collected from 5 ponds & 1 well and scored 3 for 6 on scales.

It is a rare drop. On my small kingdom before I got the first shard I'd have some days where I'd get a couple and others where I wouldn't get any.
