I don't know if I want any sombraro wearing dudes in my bakery. I like the concept though, but this would be so much better for RS, I'd even love it for RS if I were playing. A bakery though? No because I have no deco to go with it!! >:(

My opinion, when we got the valentines corner booth, the santa grotto, all those big things were part of a goal. May be Cinco de mayo goal. Who knows.

The Mariachi Band is just wonderful! It is the best item I have seen this year in BS.
I think it will be a goal item, like the valentines corner booth. It can't be in a box, we had the mother's day box this week.
It would be a very good item for RS, but I am very happy to have it in BS (if it's a goal item or if we can buy it).
A mexican theme is more original than a spring theme. We had a spring theme 2 years ago and last year.
It is special for a bakery but i love this kind of item.

Me too, there's not much place you can put items with walls. I like the band but I wish I could put it somewhere in the middle of my bakery.

This is my first Spring to play Bakery Story, so I was really hoping they would continue with Mother's day, but I suppose they do have time to implement more Mother's stuff in two weeks. I can't imagine rushing to complete potential Cinco de Mayo goals in four days to have the decor (from the 1st to the 5th). I think it will be an LTO.

its really pretty but it sure does not fit in a bakery. I could really see that in RS but not BS.
And by the way, when is the spring theme coming out to bs?? I really wish they do not forget about this. Its the only thing they could do to fit in BS i guess....

Exactly my concern! There is no decor close to any Mexican themes in BS. When I had RS I actually had a Mexican type theme and would have loved this. I'm hoping this was a mixup but I doubt it. I'm falling into gem traps now having saved them for so long. Come on TL DON'T YOU WANT MY MONEY?!
This would totally work for RS...sigh...
I'm wondering if it will be a goal item. We've had goals almost every month this year. AND I've got a 30% gem sale at the moment in both BS and RS.

Yes, me too. Without new oven, and with the impossible amount required for expansions, I'm about to leave bakery for the lack of goals interesting to pursue. Another big deco won't fit; and expanding requires one month of baking red velvet cakes only. Boring.
Aww, I really like this! I'm from Texas so we love our Mexican food here :) I'm really hoping they will bring out an oven for pan dulce, which are Mexican sweet breads that are delicious AND adorable!

I really hope it's a goal...I LUV goals and remember the bake off contest? Those are fun. I am @ level 99 & it is becoming boring mastering recipes for some gems...still this game is super cute.

Yup I'm with you. I'm giving it one more week, the update after this mariachi band and if it's another useless update to me, I'm done. I put money away for gems, but I think i'm done. I can't see wasting another $50 or $100 on this game. Not worth it.

I agree! They could still do the Cinco De Mayo theme, but with brighter colors. I don't like all of this dark stuff- it belongs in Restaurant Story! There are sooo many good themes out there that TL haven't even touched, yet!

This will be a decent update, appliances are good news, I just don't prefer orange. I think the purple makes this whole update deja vu / reminiscent of the Mardi gras update for rs.

Wow- I'm really loving the counters. Can't wait to have those in my bakery. The band is too adorable, the pinata is cute as a button. Looks like I'll be expanding to fit a Mexican corner into my bakery :)
Just a question for anyone who can enlighten me- if we're still playing the last goal (Sweet Co) and this new goal comes up, does this mean the Sweet Co goal will expire?

The updates come out on Wednesday. I'm sure it will still roll out. They have done this before. Given a little treat while doing things as planned.

It seems to me that the updates have been extremely boring lately. We either get a table and chair or 2 floor display items that have absolutely nothing to do with any theme, or everything is put into a box.
C'mon Team Lava, go back to updates that actually have meaning to the holidays coming up where we can put the items on display for more then a couple days before the holiday. Quit making everything cost GEMS! It's a free game! You are losing your loyal players who will buy things with gems (when they can afford it) by making everything cost gems! You are making us feel like we have to pay to play!

Wow! I was kinda surprised that we got an early Mother's Day updates in bs. I've to agreed with most that the Mother's Day Dinner is absolutely adorable and reasonably priced! I can't believe when I saw how much it was priced at 12 gems for such a huge decoration, 4x4. Didn't think too much and bought one straightaway. This is so much BETTER than spending 24 gems on the mother's surprise box. XD A pity that the table and counter cost gems instead.
You need the following parts for the mother's day oven:
4 Sack of Flour and 8 Tulip.
Looking forward for the next update later on.

Oh my updates Batman! I am very excited for both the mother's day and cinco de mayo things! Fun. Thank you Team Lava! I sure wish I felt like I could trust Team Lava with my money - I would buy gems. I lost 48 earned gems in the music box gem trap. I won't let that happen with my real money. Until TL puts a undo last move button or refunds accidental purchases or adds a confirm button I will not pay real money. Too bad for me because I want EVERYTHING on BOTH updates. My wallet is safe for now. Phew!

Your subjective taste is just that: yours. Have some imagination and get over yourselves. The whole "everything needs to be pink, feminine, pastel-colored and girly" is an extremely limited opinion. I am sure as a business TL is doing SOMETHING right and does ample research before delving into new updates for its customers
And those of you complaining about gems need to also silence yourselves: TJ is a for-profit enterprise that has employees and needs to make a profit. You don't complain when you go into Starbucks and pay $5 for a frappuccino, so why would you complain about having to pay another company for its services and products? If you are unhappy about paying, code your own game. ;)

Wow! So fierce. About the "everything needs to be pink, feminine, pastel-colored and girly", I guess those are kids suggesting them or maybe someone who really love pinky color. Though I'd prefer them in blue or rainbow colors to suit all. =x These are just my opinion only.
