I'd purposefully go to bed at odd hours so I don't have to check the game every five minutes for an update! But yeah, this is one of the most widely anticipated dragons, since the nights were released.

But if you do the math, it would generally take anyone almost a year (assuming you have 0 gold now and manage to get 3 golds gift EVERYDAY, which is impractical imo, you still have to save for 267 days) and another half year for your investment to start yielding profits. Too long for a game's life cycle and who knows after all those time if you're still interested in this.

Only 2 dragons I don't have is TD & Clockwork... I think it is unfair to release these buy only dragons, I have 800+ gold but I don't want to buy a dragon as it ruins the fun, but it looks like it's my only option! I could buy them both right now, but like I said that's not fun at all.

Yeah the description says 1/hour, when you hatch it though the darn thing says 1/day. At1/hour I spent 800 because I'm a gold spending fool, but at 1/day I wouldn't have because though a fool I'm no moron. 1/day is a nearly 2 1/4 years to make back money spent.

People lie for attention, it's sad... I'm going to put on my wall TD = Buy only! A lot of people do not check the forums... just before somebody was trying to breed Clockwork and couldn't understand why he doesn't have it after weeks of trying. I told him you can win it on iOS or buy it, and being on android he had no idea that iOS had many features and was glad I told him.

Anyone thinking they can breed this dragon can think again, Gold machine was never going to be free.

It's no different to those cos every one of those features also caused mass disappointment amongst players:

The diamond temple was found to only last a week...

The stable was found to only stable one dragon, so should have been called a shed!

And the Treasure dragon says 1 gold per hour till you buy it then you find it's one gold per day...

The problem is how TL markets these features, or in all honestly falsely markets them that causes so many problem.... And the market strategies they use are purely in order to mislead consumers and maximise profit

In their favor, though, TL never told players that Treasure would be breedable. There is a very short official game update thread that heralds the upcoming dragon with the usual absence of details.
Folks here are partly victim to the forum itself. While almost nobody followed the official thread, everyone thronged to this one because there were pictures of the dragon in the market an on at least one island, albeit prematurely.
Maybe they were considering making it breedable, or inadvertently dropped it into the market before time and without properly editing the pop-up.
Even "the guy who got it" commented in-game that it first said 1 gold per hour and was then earning 1 gold per day. I read that myself and wondered whether the change was because they were working on it as a trial. Now I know it never changed. (That was before he evolved the dragon).
I dunno. This may be the one case where players may be able to force a refund, but I still doubt it. Not without a class action suit.

Seems to me like the info is only slightly unclear, at Level 1 it earns 1 Gold / Day, get it up to Level 10 at it goes up to 5 Gold a day, simple. Even if it earned 1 Gold / Hour at Level 10 the habitat says 5 max, so it probably has a cap of 5 a day.... I think that is where the confusion lies. I'm pretty sure TL only intended this to be able to earn 5 a day, which is pretty good.

Although I would like to know if this is coming from Android... I'll be over 500g after the Mother's Day Edition install for Farm Story and would like to know if I should buy the Clockwork Dragon ( Buy Only for me ) or wait for 800 gold to get the TD.... info would be nice so I could plan.

Lost so much creditability bringing out a dragon that is unbreedable, was bad enough with clockwork dragon but least you gave us opportunity to win one which was still a liberty. This game was really good in the sense that players had absolutely no need to buy gold to get any dragon if they persevered enough but by bringing out this dragon you have completly ruined the game. Easy there. Where does it say a dragon has to pay you ANYTHING; or that you have to make your gold back? If people want to buy the Treasure dragon to complete their collection or just show it off, there's nothing wrong with that.
I've seen islands with what is obviously thousands of gold invested in decorative items, not to mention high-end challenge dragons.
I have a neighbor with ALL the the diamond hybrids (all the dragons, actually) who still bought the Diamond Temple, having no use for such a thing, just because she liked it as decoration. She paid 600 gold at that.
The only issue here is that the market info was misleading (whether deliberately or accidentally). Apart from that, there's nothing "dumb" about paying 800 gold for a pretty dragon. Many of the players on this thread have blown many times that amount on speeding fails.

But at epic, it earns 5 gold per day. 800 / 5 = 160 days, so after that you get 5 extra gold / day over and above what you may receive from gifting.

Still not sure it's worth it...but it's better than taking 2 years to recoup your cost.

I bet not a single person actually saw "the breed or buy" popup in the game did you? You only saw it here on the forum. Well how did it get here, the original poster said they "found" it somewhere. (Don't even remember who that was but anyway.). They found it on an external site (dirty word here I know). How do I know this? I'm an administrator on that site.

When I saw the image I inquired how the person got it as the dragon was not released yet. The user admitted they took it from game files, something they probably should not have access to. I removed the image immediately but not before it leaked here.

My reason for posting this is so people know TL did not release that popup and therefore it is no fault of theirs.

Ok, as that original popup is causing so much drama I will say how it got on here.

I bet not a single person actually saw "the breed or buy" popup in the game did you? You only saw it here on the forum. Well how did it get here, the original poster said they "found" it somewhere. (Don't even remember who that was but anyway.). They found it on an external site (dirty word here I know). How do I know this? I'm an administrator on that site.

When I saw the image I inquired how the person got it as the dragon was not released yet. The user admitted they took it from game files, something they probably should not have access to. I removed the image immediately but not before it leaked here.

My reason for posting this is so people know TL did not release that popup and therefore it is no fault of theirs.

The one gold an hour thing.... that is on them.

Perhaps you are right, I really hope that you're not tho. I will get one as well but yea same as you, not until the increase. No way am I selling any of my dragons, they have already made me sell all my basic and common ones to keep multiple diamonds and rare ones but kinda glad I have now what with the removal of the quetzal, who knows what's next. Also think its a liberty on those with limited editions cause they don't seem to accomodate them, I have them all, zombie, witches etc but i'm seriously running out of space. Thinking the only way they can continue this game long term is to eventually add new land plots cause it seems new dragons are coming left, right and centre!

Why such a dragon is tagged as super rare if you can only buy it? that's not rare or super rare, is just storebought.

This dragon didn't go out to all iOS players I think, and it looks limited on the game guide.. option to buy it could go away just like the stables did for some people.

Personally, I think if someone is willin to drop 800g for this dragon, they should be able to purchase as many as they want. I'm not gettin one because I'm not buyin any more gold until they decrease the double gold for speedin breeding/hatching.
On another note, I noticed that for the goal I can't even skip any steps. Anyone else noticed that?

After what TL did to quetzal any dragon can fly away next week. I guess I have no time to save up 800 golds for this dragon. It a real pretty one and a gold giver.
