The Manticore being available in the Market was a bug that was quickly fixed. Sorry for any inconvenience. It will still be available to all players, just in a different way.


You obtain this cutie, by expanding to the Forgotten Roost area(Big Nest). You will the egg. You will then need to incubate the egg in the Magic forge-
2 Days.


7 times to adult (include the 1st time just after incubation)
& collection time also 6 hrs, just got 2 furs & 500 coins~

Items reported that he gives you:

Whiskers
Fur
mysterious venom



You can get another Baby Manticore by purchasing the egg for 350 gems in the Magic Forge.


AND!!!...

You can actually find more eggs at the Forgotten Roost as well, except they're super rare.

It doesnt have a nest, per se. Once the egg drops from the building, you are asked to let it incubate in the magic forge. For two days. 80 gems to speed it up.

This is what is showing:
To incubate is it 350, but I have already done my egg that dropped from the nest so unless the eggs are dropping from adventure, I do not know where to get another egg to incubate.

I am not sure, but I will check. I do not want to test this with 350 gold.

Well, assuming you can buy other stuffs that way , i guess it's the price of the egg.

yea usually when you're missing one or more required item to craft or cook something, it will offer you to buy one of that item for the stated price.
so i would also assume that 350 gems is the price of the egg. i don't want to test it either :p but i hope the forgotten roost or an adventure will drop one?

I am not sure but whenever i collect from the manticore i think it steals something from my inventory. I am quite sure i completed all the requiered materials for an adventure but it was missing spicy feast. I am sure i had one.

Moving the nest should not make a difference in your chance of getting another egg to drop, but I will double check to make sure.

I dont think it matters but only TL's staff can confirm it. Think of it as a shard, an alicorn wing or horn , it's rare drop so it'll take a while.

Really? The trolls drop them quite often, and I get so many of them now! I wish a beastie would drop some silver or fish, or maybe guaranteed drops of hide from the Fangbeasts since they really don't contribute much and eat up a lot more energy than I get back.

You're a lucky one. At least 5 trolls drop 1 essence for me.
Silver and fish are not problem for me.
Too many things to do this time. I'm trying to take all expansion slot.
After that, a long quiet life 'till the next update

So I'm going about my business as usual today, getting ready to make some armor in my forge when I see...wait what?!? I have a manticore egg??? No idea when that happened, guessing this morning since I was not caffeinated when I did my first round of collections for the day. I have 3 alicorn horns too I see (I was hopeful I had been groggy enough to somehow miss a wing lol). So upon tucking my new egg in I had to race over here and see how it had happened. I sure would like to get my first alicorn, but I think I'm more excited about this. I am sure at some point its items will be useful and being able to collect from it more than once every 6 hours is awesome!! Thanks TL!! I knew I should keep collecting from the nest :)

i think this person meant collect from the manticore every 6 hrs. my nest is also 22 hrs and manticore is 6 hrs. and when that person mentioned collecting from nest, probably just happy that s/he got the egg to result in the manticore.


I am sure at some point its items will be useful and being able to collect from it more than once every 6 hours is awesome!!

Looking at you kingdom, go north (up) and slightly to the left. It's the only structure in that area. It looks like a tower made of stone and some wood. If you zoom in the wood is a giant nest. On a clock it would be located at approximately 10/11:00.
When you trigger the manticore quest there will be a "view" button in the goal list. When you click on the view button it will take you to the exact expansion square you will need to unlock.

I had to upgrade a few buildings to get my Royal points up, and consequently I now don't have enough coins, so I it will be a few days. Hopefully this won't amount to nothing, like my other missions have. :) I still have no Alicorn parts, and my Taburnacle hasn't dropped any shards, but I'm hopeful for a whole family of Manticores to keep me entertained!

Manticores are cute, well, kind of ;) They drop fur which is useful for trades :p Anyway, I really hope that by then you would already have your first shard and your ali :)

Anyone has more than 3 manticore? I have 3 personally, none from gems, all from roost, but everywhere I see I see only people with 3 at the most, aside of that guy that claimed he got 5 which... yeah... excuse my disbelief
