Unable to expand on particular area...

Hi all,

I'm on level 48 and have expanded out on all of the main island......except for this one patch. If I hit EXPAND, it only lets me expand to other islands adjacent to the main island, but not this patch. It's definitely an "expand-able" area because the trees and rock are exactly the same as the other unexpanded areas's trees and rocks, it's just never highlighted to let me expand there. Does anyone have any tips/ideas??

Areas that can be expanded highlight when you tap the Expand option. If the area doesn't highlight, it can not be expanded. There are some areas with trees and foliage that can't be expanded by design. Those areas are decor only.

Have a look on neighbors island higher levels (94 for example). if you see habitats around but not on then it means that you cant clear it.
there are several area that we are not able to clear. there is a thread on that somewhere :)
