Removing. Entwined seedling from inventory

Hi all, i have 9 seedlings in my inventory...how do I get them out? If I press and hold it doesn't work. I am only new to the game so please help!!!!!!!!!

The seedlings are used in the love shack to make plants and trees.... You can not remove them by clicking and dragging.

I play on my ipad and can't work out how to plant the seedlings. Any ideas ?
