You can only get it from apple tree and supposedly magic gardens. It took me months and months to get to the garden, still no apple. I am saving up gems for the apple tree, since it's the best bet. If you don't want to wait months and months, that is probably your guys best bets as well.

If you keep doing adventures it's possible your knights will find an apple tree ... I have gotten 1 from an adventure on both my games

I'm impatient. Many, many worlds ago I used gems instead of waiting for the apple. Sir oink oink has been hot and cold for me since I got him.

I've only ever gotten them from the garden- never an apple tree. Go figure.
