Why cant i use those gifts?

Fresh gifts have an accept button. When you press accept they go into your inventory. Each new game day the last 20 gifts you received are displayed. You can tell which ones you've already accepted because the button is greyed out. When you send your three gifts the list of previously accepted gifts will disappear.
