star level when you don't play?

I am sorry if this has been asked before but I have not seen it if it has.
I have noticed that some people still have 3 or 4 stars and they don't even play anymore, how does that happen?

I think it happens because their progress is saved on the TL servers; if they last played a few weeks ago and they had the star rating of 3 or 4, I believe it stays at that level until they play the game again.

This is correct, your level will stay the same, even though you are not playing, but once you come back into the game and open it up,
your game will sync with the servers and the display for your social level will correct.
So if you have not played for months, once you open, you social level will probably drop to 0.

oh ok. Thanks for explaining. That's too bad cause I had added a few people that had higher stars thinking that means they were still playing, and now I find out that they are not, so those invites are now sitting in pending. Guess I can't go by that anymore.
